The runner that holds the record over the past 20 renewals for the slowest time in the race was set in the 2011 renewal when Pisco Sour from Hughie Morrison under the guidance of Jimmy Fortune, won in a time of 2:11.84, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, Hunting Horn, trained by A P O'Brien and ridden by Ryan Moore set the quickest time of 2:03.02 in the 2018 renewal.

What the expert says...
The 2023 winner, Waipiro, came from the Epsom Derby, which was the fourth runner to take that route to win this race since 2006, the others were Benbatl (2017), Pisco Sour (2011) and Snoqualmie Boy (2006).
