2025 Buckingham Palace Stakes Preview

The Buckingham Palace Stakes was initially introduced during the 2002 Royal Ascot meeting when it was expanded to five days and remained a fixture until 2014.

In 2015 it was replaced by the Commonwealth Cup, however, the race was reintroduced in 2020 when Royal Ascot was expanded to seven races for each of the five days and has remained since.

The race is contested over seven furlongs for runners who are aged three or older and the race currently holds class two status.
