2027 Falmouth Stakes Preview
Scheduled to take place during the July Festival each year at the Newmarket racecourse is the Falmouth Stakes, a Group 1 race that is open to fillies and mares only that are aged three or older, with the race being run over a straight mile.
The race was established in 1911 when it was originally restricted to three-year-old runners only. The race is named after Evelyn Boscawen, who was the 6th Viscount Falmouth and best known for his breeding of racehorses, which included twice being a winning breeder of the Epsom Derby.
