The race in 2026 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 125%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Nell Gwyn Stakes, the over-round has been 118%, which means the bookie expects to pay out ÂŁ100 for every ÂŁ118 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2027 Nell Gwyn Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Nell Gwyn Stakes Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Nell Gwyn Stakes races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Pretty Crystal (1:22.90) in 2024
  2. Osaila (1:23.24) in 2015
  3. Speciosa (1:23.45) in 2006

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Nell Gwyn Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 2 winners. Backing all 18 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of +10.00. Before placing your bet on the 2027 Nell Gwyn Stakes, see which other runners today are being backed on the racing predictions page.

The runner that holds the record over the past 20 renewals for the slowest time in the race was set in the 2025 renewal when Zanzoun from John & Thady Gosden under the guidance of Kieran Shoemark, won in a time of 1:29.22, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, Pretty Crystal, trained by Richard Fahey and ridden by Oisin Orr set the quickest time of 1:22.90 in the 2024 renewal.

What the expert says...
Every winner between 2013 & 2024 went on to run in the 1,000 Guineas next time out. Cachet's win in 2022 is the only one of those eleven to go on and win; it was the first since Speciosa achieved it in 2006.
