2025 Craven Stakes Preview
The Craven Stakes is a Group 3 race that under today's conditions was first run back in 1878, the race itself has been going on since 1771.
The race is open to three-year-old colts and geldings and is run over a straight mile.
The Craven Stakes can be a trial with the 2,000 Guineas which is also hosted here at Newmarket, Haafhd (2004) was the last runner to win both.
Sir Michael Stoute has won this race an incredible eight times with his first winner back in 1985 and his latest in 2007.
