2025 Royal Lodge Stakes Preview
Established in 1946 and scheduled to take place in late September or early October of each year at the Newmarket racecourse is the Royal Lodge Stakes, this Group 2 race is open to two-year-old colts and geldings and is run over a straight mile where previous Group 1 or 2 winners have to carry a 3lb penalty. The race takes place on the final day of the three-day Cambridgeshire meeting on the same day as the feature Cambridgeshire Handicap.

The Cambridgeshire Handicap is the highlight on the third and final day, carrying a purse of £175k its a race which spans two counties! It starts in Cambridgeshire and ends in Suffolk!
