2024 Vintage Stakes Preview

Scheduled to take place on the opening day of Glorious Goodwood in late July or early August, the Vintage Stakes is a Group 2 which is open to two-year-old runners and run over seven furlongs.

These two-year-old runners are assigned a weight of 9-1, any fillies get a 3lb allowance and any which have already won either a Group 1 or Group 2 have to carry a 3lb penalty.

How competitive is the Vintage Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2021 when the race had an over-round of 109%.
