2024 Richmond Stakes Preview

Named after the Duke of Richmond, a former owner of the Goodwood racecourse, the Richmond Stakes is a Group 2 race for two-year-old colts and geldings.

It is run over six furlongs and takes place on day three of the Glorious Goodwood festival in late July or early August, runners are all set a weight of 9-1 but any previous Group 1 or Group 2 winners in the race will have to carry a 3lb penalty.
