2025 Lillie Langtry Stakes Preview
Initially run under the name of the Gladness Stakes and a Listed race in 2003, the Lillie Langtry Stakes was upgraded to a Group 3 a year later in 2004 and given its current name.
The race is open to fillies and mares who are aged three or older and is run over one mile and six furlongs, it takes place on the final day of the Glorious Goodwood festival in late July or early August.
Three-year-old runners (8-9) get an 11lb allowance over the older runners (9-6) with any Group 1 (5lb) or Group 2 (3lb) winners having to carry a penalty.
