How competitive is the Nassau Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2022, when the race had an over-round of 106%. The race in 2013 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 126%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Nassau Stakes, the over-round has been 114%, which means the bookie expects to pay out £100 for every £114 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Nassau Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Nassau Stakes Trend Analysis. With the field now finalised, we have the 2026 Nassau Stakes Runners & Shortlist, which is created using the listed trends.

These are the top three quickest-run Nassau Stakes races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Deirdre (2:02.93) in 2019
  2. Ouija Board (2:04.47) in 2006
  3. Peeping Fawn (2:04.53) in 2007

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Nassau Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 4 winners. Backing all 19 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of -8.06. Remember to bookmark the racing tips page to access the OLBG racing picks easily daily.

Over the last 20 renewals, it was Deirdre, trained by Mitsuru Hashida and ridden by Oisin Murphy, who set the fastest winning time in the Nassau Stakes. That runner won the race in a time of 2:02.93 in 2019. At the other end of the scale, it was the combination of trainer Roger Varian and jockey Jim Crowley with Al Husn who set the slowest winning time; the race-winning time was 2:13.37 in the 2023 renewal.

What the expert says...
Future form is not great for the winner of the Nassau, between 2006 and 2025, those who ran again produced just four next-time-out winners, the last to do so was Wild Illusion, who went on to win the 2018 Prix de l'Opera.
