Middleton Stakes Trends:

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? From the past 20 if you had followed the winner of the Middleton Stakes next time out then you would have backed a total of 2 winners. Backing all 18 runners who have been out since to win at SP next time out, would have returned an LSP of -12.50. Remember to bookmark the racing tips page so you can get easy access to the OLBG racing picks daily.

The runner that holds the record over the past 20 renewals for the slowest time in the race was set in the 2006 renewal when Strawberry Dale from James Bethell under the guidance of Jamie Spencer, won in a time of 2:19.41, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, Sariska, trained by Michael Bell and ridden by Jamie Spencer set the quickest time of 2:06.20 in the 2010 renewal.

These are the top three quickest-run Middleton Stakes over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Sariska (2:06.20) in 2010
  2. Coronet (2:08.01) in 2018
  3. Promising Lead (2:08.20) in 2008
What the expert says...
Since 2007, eight of the winners ran in either the Dahlia Stakes (4) or the British Champions Fillies Mares Stakes (4) last time out and all bar one of those finished in the first three in either of those races, Izzi Top (2012) is the only runner to win either of those races and then come here to win.
