How competitive is the Strensall Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2022 when the race had an over-round of 109%. The race in 2011 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 122%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Strensall Stakes, the over-round has been 114%, which means the bookie expects to pay out £100 for every £114 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Strensall Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Strensall Stakes Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Strensall Stakes races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Scottish (1:46.61) in 2016
  2. Echo Of Light (1:46.76) in 2007
  3. Real World (1:47.66) in 2021

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Strensall Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 7 winners. Backing all 18 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of +8.06. Remember to bookmark the racing tips page to access the OLBG racing picks easily daily.

The runner that holds the record over the past 20 renewals for the slowest time in the race was set in the 2020 renewal when Certain Lad from Mick Channon under the guidance of Hollie Doyle, won in a time of 1:52.39, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, Scottish, trained by Charlie Appleby and ridden by William Buick set the quickest time of 1:46.61 in the 2016 renewal.

What the expert says...
The 2025 winner, King Of Cities (Thoroughbred Stakes), was the seventh runner from the last nineteen renewals to come here after running at Glorious Goodwood.
