2026 Great Voltigeur Stakes Preview
Established in 1950, the Great Voltigeur Stakes takes place on the opening day of the York Ebor Festival in August. This Group 2 race is open to three-year-old colts and geldings only.
Run over just shy of one mile and four furlongs (1m3f 188yds), the race is named after the 1850 Derby and St Leger winner, Voltigeur and acts as a trial for the St Leger.
After winning the 2023 renewal, Continuous went on to become the fifteenth runner to complete the Great Voltigeur & St Leger double.
