2025 Gordon Richards Stakes Preview

Established in 1963, the Gordon Richards Stakes is a Group 3 flat race that is run at Sandown in late April, the race is open to runners who are four or older and is run over one mile, one furlong and two hundred and nine yards.

The race is named in honour of jockey Sir Gordon Richards who was champion flat jockey twenty-six times and received a knighthood in 1953.
