The French 3yo hurdle runners do tend to be a little more forward than the Irish and UK runners. The selection was an impressive winner in the summer on his debut, sprinting clear in the late stages after being held up. The form has been boosted since by the 3rd, 4th and 5th from that race and he looks like a nice prospect. Ex UK jockey James Reverley was in the saddle that day and he has connections with the new owners - who don’t tend to buy your average looking runners - and it looks like the jockey gave a big thumbs up for this one. Could be a big player in this Grade 2 juvenile hurdle.

The David Pipe horse (Parchment) is being well touted here. But in these races with little form to go on, a closer look at the breeding often helps locate the potentially classier horses. This one is going to be very hard to keep out of the first 3, so rates a great e/w bet to nothing. He's an Irish raider that was hugely impressive on debut, and the trainer is showing some more positive signs recently after a quiet spell. There's also a little support for the 11/2, and he's going to give the front 2 in the market a lot to think about.

This was a serious horse on the level, finishing 2.25L 6th in the Group 2 Queens Vase at Royal Ascot which featured some quality horses ahead of him, including Scandinavia (0.75L), Further and Carmers. Rated 100 on the level he looks a serious prospect going hurdling for connections that have farmed these prizes in recent years. Has flat form on good to soft and although he'll likely improve for the run he could yet outclass the field.

This fair 1m 4f flat victor has not lost in 3 juvenile hurdles, returning from a 3 month lay-off to easily clinch a hat-trick at Kempton 27 days ago. This dependable jumper can't be overlooked despite the step up in class. With a trainer and jockey at the peak of performance, an each-way bet at 14/1 looks a solid investment.

A JJ O'Neil runner with Colemann on board has a recent runner-up run. When looking like a danger to the winner, it may play a part if getting a late run.
