Scheduled to take place in January during trials day of each year at the Cheltenham racecourse is the Classic Novices' Hurdle, which is run over a distance of two miles, four and a half furlongs, and is open to runners aged four or older who are novice hurdlers. In terms of future form, the race serves as a trial for the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle.
