2026 Tattenham Corner Stakes Preview
The Tattenham Corner Stakes is a new name for the race, which was previously known as the John Of Gaunt Stakes. Formerly run at Haydock, the race was switched to Epsom to run on the opening day of the Derby Meeting and is named after the famous bend at the track.
The race is open to runners aged four or older, it is contested over an extended seven furlongs (37 yards) and carries Group 3 status, having been upgraded in 2008 from a Listed race. Any group winners have to carry penalties with 7lb (G1), 5lb (G2) and 3lb (G3).
Because of the switch of track, please be careful with the trends; these are obviously based on races at Haydock, so they could prove less reliable than other races.
