Vienna now heavy favourite to win the award for World's Most Liveable City next year

Fresh from being crowned the World's Most Liveable City for the third year in-a-row, betting sites have already put Vienna as the firm favourites to be awarded the prize once again in 2025.

The Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) Global Liveability Index saw Vienna hit a perfect score in four of the five categories with stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure all ranked.

Culture and environment was the only score that was lacking for Vienna with 93.5 out of 100 given putting it 7th out of the Top 10 cities for that specific section.

Overall though Vienna finished above Copenhagen by 0.4 making it the most liveable city once again and the betting odds give an implied probability of 80% that 2025's Top 10 will see the same.

Three European Cities fill the Top 3 in the last charts

2024's EIU Global Liveability Index saw European cities dominate the top of the charts with the top three all coming from countries in Europe.

Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Canada all had cities in the Top 10 this year with the ratings range across the Top 10 from 98.4 to 96.

Just a 2.4 overall rating separates 10th from 1st and this has been the same for the past two years.
