Full Mr Vegas Sports Bookmaker Review

Mr Vegas arrived in 2020, offering a decent betting product alongside its casino, thanks to its reliable platform, with some key features appreciated by both users and the OLBG team

It features a really nice welcome offer, plenty of odds boosts, a massive amount of payment options and a nice Popular Bets feature.

Verification is under UK Gambling Commission licence number 39380 (Videoslots Ltd).

Mr Vegas is a very easy sportsbook to use. The interface is clean and clearly designed. There is definitely a casino focus, but the variety in sports offered on its sportsbook is impressive. Everything here is well-executed. Navigation is intuitive, markets load quickly, and the overall experience is smooth, with things spread quite wide for bettors. If you’ve used Lottoland, you’ll recognise the tools and platform, branding aside.

Who are Mr Vegas?

Mr Vegas launched in the UK in 2020, and comes to the UK thanks to Videoslots. Videoslots has been around since 2014, but previously just offered casino products, although the sports arm arrived in 2020. It all comes fully regulated by the UKGC.

My First Impressions

Mr Vegas uses an Altenar platform, which you may have seen on the likes of Lottoland and some other brands. The great thing is that the platform itself is very easy to use and one of the better ones across the industry. It is, however, difficult to move away from the casino-focus through the branding and graphics.

Live Betting

If you select the “LIVE” tab on the main menu you’ll be taken straight to the in-play options, as expected. This looks quite impressive, all things considered. There are plenty of sports here to choose between, with a great variety – punters can find what they’re after and we’re told from the off how many games are live per sport. At the time fo review there are 36 events for tennis, 11 for cricket, six for basketball, and so on. The markets look good and there are some basic in-play statistics. You can check if they make it into our best bookmakers for in-play betting here.

Live Streaming

There is some limited live streaming available on Mr Vegas, with some very minor basketball offered while reviewing. This is one of the more noticeable gaps in the offering, especially when compared to established bookmakers that provide integrated streams for horse racing, tennis, football and more.

Betting Odds

Comparing Mr Vegas’s odds to those of other bookies, as well as checking some comparison sites, Mr Vegas offers very solid odds across the board. We checked football, basketball and cricket for in-play odds, plus horse racing, greyhounds and darts for pre-match and ante post odds. It’s worth mentioning that plenty of markets get boosted, so check their Odds Boosts markets because lots are covered.

Betting App or Mobile Site?

Mr Vegas has a very good app. Your bets load in the betslip – which is part of the menu at the bottom – but most of the navigating is done through the hamburger in the top-left or the carousels that sit just above the markets. If you’re going to be using Mr Vegas, their app is the method you want to be using.

Compare to the best betting apps in the country.

⚽ Football Betting

Mr Vegas doesn’t meet our best football betting sites in the UK, but it’s still a good option overall. There is a huge number of leagues and competitions covered, from all around the globe, and it could go head to head for event coverage with any sportsbook in the UK. I do like the market layout – match result, Over 2.5 goals, and then your choice for a third from the dropdown – on the competition pages, that works. There are some pre-made bet builders, and plenty of markets, plus the odds look decent enough, with the added extra of odds boosts promotions.

Bet Builder

This is very good. You can go to a number of different sports and you’ll find great bet builder options. I’ve already mentioned that there are pre-built ones waiting, and these can always be a bit misleading, I think sometimes, with bookies trying to send you in a particular direction. But for an upcoming Premier League game, for example, there are loads of markets to choose from (they tell you under each tab).

Bonuses

We’ve mentioned it a few times, but the main source of promotion at Mr Vegas are their Odds Boosts. From their home page they have a carousel of the matches in which they’ve boosted. The vast majority of these are for football, but there are also some basketball and tennis. These are obviously indicative of the events happening right now, so keep checking in depending on the sporting calendar.

Cash Out

Cash out is a very important betting feature for punters these days, so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. Mr Vegas has done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.

🏇 Horse Racing

Mr Vegas doesn’t offer horse racing betting at the time of review.

🇺🇸 US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available, including all the major leagues, plus college games and the same sports across the globe.

🏈 American Football Betting

Thankfully Mr Vegas shows the spread immediately when you land on the markets. It’s something that can irritate me quite a lot when it comes to American football – that being that when you see the event (a specific game), and it only lists the winner market, so glad that’s not the case here. You can see all the other markets once you click through and there is an absolute tonne here, including next season’s outrights and NFL Draft markets, which is great to have. It’s worth checking out our best NFL betting sites to see how Mr Vegas compares.

🏀 Basketball Betting

Mr Vegas has a brilliant selection of basketball leagues to bet on, there are hundreds and hundreds of competitions. Covering the NBA, WNBA, college basketball, Euro League, as well as leagues in Turkey, Indonesia, Venezuela and more, Lottoland has an exceptional basketball offering, with well over 150 different markets to choose from, making it a great place to come to for basketball betting. It’s quite impressive. You can also compare Mr Vegas to the best basketball betting sites.

⚾ Baseball Betting

Mr Vegas obviously covers the MLB, but they also have markets for the Japanese, South Korean and international competitions. There a loads of markets (over 70), and the odds, especially on the outrights, look pretty good. The MLB season is well underway and there are loads of things to bet on, although I can’t see any individual awards, which aren’t represented here unfortunately, but the number of markets per game is good enough and there are loads of player prop options. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.

🏒 Ice Hockey Betting

The NHL takes up the bulk of space here, as expected. But there are also some Australian, Finnish and German fixtures included, among others. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there are loads of markets listed – more than pretty much anywhere else. For the smaller leagues that reduces a bit more, which is understandable. It’s quite nice to see some odds on the Conn Smythe trophy, also, that’s definitely something that you won’t get everywhere.

🐕 Greyhound Betting

Mr Vegas doesn’t offer greyhound racing betting at the time of review.

🎯 Darts Betting

Matthew Edgar

- Your Darts Betting Guide 👍

Mr Vegas’s darts betting is pretty good. There are outrights on the big future events, and once you click through to the match-ups, the number of markets is probably more than most. In the more short-term, there’s a nice amount of markets per match even for games at the Modus Series. When the World Championships roll around, I can see that coverage being upped even more. For a relatively new bookie, this is pretty impressive, overall.

Snooker Betting

Steve Madgwick

Steve Madgwick

Editor-In-Chief

In comparison to other snooker betting sites, Mr Vegas is about on the money. There are some outrights listed for a couple of big competitions, but that’s about it really. I’d like to see greater coverage of some of the smaller events and competitions, with more markets per competition while we’re at it, but this is solid enough, even if it doesn’t blow me away.

🏉 Rugby Betting (Union & League)

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - Mr Vegas splits union and league into different categories, which is always my preferred preference. For both, there is pretty much every competition that you’d want to be included here, which is really good to see. There isn’t the Japanese domestic league (in Union), which only a handful of other betting sites include, but overall the coverage of competitions is fantastic, with even the second tier of French rugby and some women’s competitions there. For rugby league there are more competitions here than most other bookies, with loads of markets for NRL, plus Super League and RFL competitions included, too. See how they compare to our best Rugby betting sites.

🏏 Cricket Betting

James Banting

James Banting

Expert Guide

This is pretty good when it comes to event coverage. There are Test matches, the IPL, and a number of different competitions going on at the moment – or in the near future – and they’re all included here. On top of that there are some domestic competitions from the Caribbean that you’ll only find at a select few bookies in the UK, so that’s really impressive. Think the Cool & Smooth T20 and Spice Isle T10. For an in-play Test match there’s enough to keep me interested with a decent enough selection of team and player markets. Overall I’m pretty happy with the cricket betting here.

We list the 10 best cricket betting sites here.

🎾 Tennis Betting

By James Banting -  The upcoming French Open features heavily, but you can choose from any number of tournaments, with smaller events as well as the Grand Slams, which I can’t find at plenty of other bookies if desired. I am impressed with the decent selection of ATP, WTA, Challengers and ITF matches, however. The odds are pretty good. Scanning the ATP matches over the next couple of days, I can definitely get some value here, so that, coupled with the great event coverage, makes this absolutely somewhere that I’d come back. See if they make it into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.

🏌️ Golf Betting

By James Banting -  As with all the sports listed on Mr Vegas, it clearly displays how many games there are to bet on per sport. When I went to check out the golf section, there are over one hundred different events, so I already know that there’s going to be enough before I’ve even clicked and dug any deeper. As expected, all the majors are there for next year, plus more immediate, smaller tournaments, but there aren’t quite as many as some other sportsbooks. It’s worth checking our best golf betting sites to see how Mr Vegas compares – but generally this is pretty good.

🏎️ Motorsports Betting

Andy Powell

Andy Powell

Expert Guide

There’s some really good bits here. Formula 1 is grouped from the rest of the motorsport markets, which is fairly commonplace, and the actual Formula 1 section is very nice. There’s loads of markets for the upcoming Grand Prix, and probably more options than most. On top of that, the rest of the motorsport on offer is pretty comprehensive – there’s Formula 2, NASCAR and MotoGP. That’s more than most, and will undoubtedly attract motorsport bettors, particularly those for some of the more esoteric events.

🥊 Boxing Betting

There’s some good boxing betting here, and the markets look dependent on how near the actual fight is. Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have an okay offering, whereas the further away they get, the fewer markets that are on offer. That’s understandable, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away, but I would definitely like more options for big bouts this weekend, and that’s definitely limited, based on my experience with Mr Vegas.

Other Sports Betting

Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is still a large enough market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s dig in a bit further.

Mr Vegas offers extensive betting options for handball, volleyball, cycling, AFL betting, and esports. Handball includes global competitions; volleyball, covers European Championships and various tournaments; cycling features future tours and current races; AFL betting has comprehensive stats and esports offers all major games like League of Legends and CS:GO.

🗳️ Political Betting

Mr Vegas has its political betting under its own Specials tab. At the time of the review there isn’t a huge amount of political betting to be had generally, so this is a pretty average offering. There are future markets on the UK in terms of next permanent leaders, and then there are markets for Australia and Germany. These are the ones on the upcoming political agenda, so it’s nice to see Mr Vegas moving with the upcoming news cycle.

🎭 Entertainment and Specials Betting

Mr Vegas doesn’t offer entertainment racing betting at the time of review.

Casino

Mr Vegas does have casino. Despite the name of the brand, it's incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.

Account Opening Process

A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen, Mr Vegas has its “JOIN” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address, etc. – and once complete, be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

As mentioned, there is a really good Mr Vegas app, but the mobile version of the site is pretty good, too, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been built to cover all bases. It does exactly what you want and that is not to feel too far removed when you switch from one device to the next, but also being product-led and designed to suit its purpose as a proper mobile version.

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to Mr Vegas I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very good indeed.

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the left of the screen. On the mobile version, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like Mr Vegas has got this part nailed.

Mr Vegas Responsible Gambling Features

As with all online betting companies, responsible gambling should be and will be an essential element of the service provided.

Expect KYC procedures and document supply as a matter-of-course, to confirm your account after you have deposited a certain level of funds and in the event of any large wins.

You can set limits for yourself across depositing options and daily staking options too, so you can set your levels and keep control of your gambling.

Expect Mr Vegas to contact you via your preferred communication method if there are suspicious activities on your account. This protects your account from being accessed by someone other than you and ensures you control your gambling activity. Mr Vegas have a legal obligation to question your activity if they believe it to be suspicious.

Responsible Gambling
There is a full suite of responsible gambling tools for your protection and may request further identification after certain depositing levels are exceeded or stakes are increased quickly.
