PROS & CONS of Betrino Online Betting Site

The below is all explained in finer detail later in this review, but these quick pros and cons give users an instant understanding of where Betrino's strengths lie. 

Who Are Betrino?

Betrino launched in the UK in 2024, having previously been BritainBet and going through a rebrand. It uses a ProgressPlay licence, something shared with the likes of JeffBet, BetStorm and Monster Casino. It already for doing just a select few sports, offering good odds generally.

First Impression of Betrino

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - This review will reflect the product offered at the time of writing. I signed up on the desktop version of BritainBet, and used the mobile version to compare, but there is no app to download. 

This is much smaller than most sportsbooks in the UK. While most will have a large menu of sports that you can select from, there are far fewer here. Whereas most bookies have their top sports, and you open a dropdown, or click through, to find more, the menu you see at Betrino is all the sports available. These are: football, cricket, rugby, ice hockey, basketball and one esport title; League of Legends.

Betrino Live Betting

On the homepage all the in-play betting options can be found thanks to the small green “LIVE” icons that slowly flash on and off. These will take you directly to the relevant markets where you can bet accordingly. Betrino Live Streaming

Betrino doesn’t offer any live streaming at the time of this review.

Betrino Betting Odds

For a relatively lightweight bookie, definitely in terms of the number of sports covered, the odds are actually better than I was expecting. I went through some in-play games for football and cricket, as well as some pre-match fixtures for basketball and rugby, and overall the odds are not bad at all. You will be able to find slightly better value here and there, depending on the event, but generally this is one of the strong points of Betrino.

Betrino Betting App or Mobile Site 

As mentioned, there is no Betrino app, so this will strictly focus on the mobile version of the site. This sounds obvious, but the mobile version works very much like you’d expect an app to. Maybe the reason for not having one is how the mobile version of the site has been designed, because things like the menu placement, navigation and product features suggest that this is absolutely a mobile-first bookie.

Betrino Football Betting

We rank every bookie, at every sport, and BritainBet is just a bit off our best football betting sites in the UK, but it’s still very good. There are plenty of games listed, including domestic leagues in South America and Asia, and even some very minor, lower league friendlies, too, and this is obviously on top of the likes of the Premier League, Bundesliga and LaLiga. As mentioned above, probably the strongest part of this offering is the odds themselves.

Bet Builder 

As much as I try I can’t find a dedicated bet builder feature. Now, you can add multiple bets from an event into a multiple, or opt for some of the pre-made combos, which essentially does the same thing as a bet builder, but isn’t quite as you’d like. Even though the result is pretty much the same, it feels like a miss.

Bonuses

As well as the welcome offer that you automatically activate when you sign up and make your first deposit, the main advantage of Betrino is its rewards programme. This ensures regular users get more and more from the product, so the more you play, the more rewards you get to choose from..

Betrino Horse Racing

Betrino doesn’t offer any horse racing betting at the time of this review.

Betrino US Sports Betting

A reduced range of American Sports is available at Betrino. We’ll check out the major leagues, but also look into the sports further down the pyramid and, as well as across the globe. 

Basketball Betting

Betrino has a decent selection of basketball leagues to bet on. There’s obviously the NBA, but BritainBet covers a wide range of EuroLeague and domestic world competitions, including competitions in Brazil and Australia, among others. There are also plenty of markets per game, with game, team and player markets covered impressively. Take the WNBA, for example, with a fantastic range of markets – match, halves/quarters, points, player probs on points, rebounds, assists etc. – right across the board. It’s quite impressive.

Betrino Greyhound Betting

Betrino doesn’t offer any horse racing betting at the time of this review. 

Betrino Rugby Betting (Union & League)

For both, there are most competitions that you’d want to be included here, which is really good to see. Definitely for NRL games in rugby league there are loads of markets per match. Betrino Cricket Betting

I also really like how many markets are available here for each game, assuming it’s not miles away in the future before teams are announced etc. For matches that are a bit of a way off, there are still some good futures and antepost markets to take advantage of, even if the number of markets per game drops off a little, but overall I’m pretty happy with the cricket betting here.

BritainBet does have casino, which is incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. Betrino Account Opening Process

A easy process. At the top-right of the screen Betrino has their “Register” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

As I mentioned above, Betrino has no app, but that actually doesn’t matter because a lot of extra focus has clearly been invested into the mobile version of the site. It works really well and makes the need for an app somewhat redundant (you can just bookmark the page if you like). The nav bars are in different places (along the bottom rather than down the left-hand side, for example), with the intention of making things feel more intuitive on a smaller screen. It works really well and I’d definitely recommend using the mobile version whenever possible. 

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to Betrino I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer. 

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the  left of the screen. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like Betrino has got this part nailed.

Betrino Responsible Gambling Features

As with all online betting companies, responsible gambling should be and will be an essential element of the service provided.

Expect KYC procedures and document supply as a matter-of-course, to confirm your account after you have deposited a certain level of funds and in the event of any large wins.

You can set limits for yourself across depositing options and daily staking options too, so you can set your levels and keep control of your gambling.

Expect Betrino to contact you via your preferred communication method if there are suspicious activities on your account. This protects your account from being accessed by someone other than you and ensures you control your gambling activity. Betrino have a legal obligation to question your activity if they believe it to be suspicious.

Betrino Review Summary 

Betrino is very stripped back. To me, it’s clear that they have decided to focus solely on a few sports and try to do them as best they can. As a result, the number of sports listed is far fewer than most other bookies, and there are fewer markets per sport. If you are someone who likes betting on a few different things then you’re better off elsewhere.

Betrino feels as though it’s for people who just like betting on one or two things, want decent odds, and don’t want to overcomplicate the types of bets that they make. It’s a small, dedicated bookie that’s not for everyone but definitely has a target market, rather than a scattergun approach.

Main takeaway: Limited number of sports but good odds overall.
