Lottoland has a lot going for it. Firstly, the coverage of smaller events and sports – this includes things like futsal, ski jumping and pesapallo – is only something you really find at L&L platforms, plus maybe a few more select others. It’s very good indeed, and something that punters should consider when looking for niche competitions or sports to bet on. Secondly, the number of markets, for most sports, is really impressive, although there are a few exceptions.
However, there are definitely some blots on the Lottoland copybook. Not having anything in the way of UK horse racing, or greyhounds, is annoying. I can see that putting particular punters off. There could be a few more promotions, but actually this has been upped recently, with plenty of odds boosts, acca boosts and the like.
Lottoland Review Summary
Having an account is worth it, just for the lottery betting alone, but given that the sportsbook is not the primary focus of Lottoland, it’s actually pretty impressive in the main.
Advantages and Disadvantages
All explained in greater detail in this review, these pros and cons allow users to scan and understand where the strengths lie quickly.
Pros
Fantastic Bet Mentor tool
Brilliant for tennis betting
Great coverage of esports
Cons
No UK horse racing or greyhound markets
Who are Lottoland?
Lottoland launched in 2023, and falls under the L&L umbrella. With that in mind, despite its relative infancy, there is plenty of experience behind it as a product. Let’s find out what it does well and who may like it.
Lottoland is, unsurprisingly, a lottery and casino-first product. That said, when you arrive at the site it’s incredibly easy to find the sportsbook through the main nav bar. And if you’ve used certain L&L brands (Yeti Casino, Fun Sports etc.), Lottoland uses the same platform and so the layout – bar the colour and branding – is immediately recognisable.
While it’s not sport betting, it’s worth knowing about Lottoland’s lottery betting.
The way it works is that you choose the lottery game that you want to bet on – let's say the Powerball, in the USA. you pick your numbers as you would if you were playing, and these numbers represent your bet. If you get your numbers right, Lottoland will pay you the same as the actual jackpot offered. It’s basically a way of playing any lottery in the world, whereas you can normally only play if you are a resident of that country. Lottoland can even boost these jackpots because they’re not restricted by the official lottery caps.
Bet Mentor and Insights
Lottoland has recently added two nice new features to their betting markets that can be used across different sports. Insights provides different specific markets based on a particular stat or recent form or data, with the corresponding market below eg For a Premier league game involving Liverpool it has “Both teams have scored in 11 of the last 12 Liverpool home games” with the BTTS market below.
The Bet Mentor tool allows you to say how much you’d like to stake, and how much you’d like to win, and then provides the markets that would allow you to do that. These can automatically be added to your betslip with one click.
Live Betting
This is extremely easy to find, as the red “IN-PLAY” icon is immediately clear against the white background. Not only can you head straight to the live betting part of the site, but all sports that currently have live markets feature the same red icon in the menu bar. I can immediately see that there’s plenty of live markets, and there can’t be many other bookies offering in-play odds on beach futsal, volleyball and E-ice hockey markets like Lottoland does. See if they make it into our best bookmakers for in-play betting.
Live Streaming
Lottoland has some decent live streaming options. The “LIVE” menu, or even a single live event, has a small toggle on the right-hand side, where you can flick between live streaming (if available) or graphics. Not all live events have the streaming option, but a good few do. There are no requirements to watch other than being a registered user and being logged in. You don’t have to bet on the event in question and you don’t have to have money in your account.
Betting Odds
After looking through some alternative sportsbooks, as well as going through some comparison sites, it seems as though the odds offered at Lottoland are generally decent. Some seem to be around what you’d expect but you can definitely find some extra value, especially on some longer shots, in particular markets. For example, one Bundesliga game that has a heavy underdog listed at around 14 or 15, is at 17 on Lottoland.
Like the desktop, there is one app for the casino and sportsbook, and you have to get to the sportsbook from the casino to begin with. I find the app a bit cluttered but it does work quite fluidly, and moving between markets is easy enough. It may just take a little getting used to, however, because the more I use it, the more I like it. See how it compares to the best betting apps in the UK.
⚽ Football Betting
Lottoland isn’t far off making our best football betting sites in the UK. The menu displays that there’s over a thousand different markets that I can bet on at this moment in time, and that’ll compete with anyone in the industry. There’s a great option to bet on whether there will be a card, corner or goal in the next five minutes of a match and another nice touch is the aforementioned Insights feature. This uses a particular stat based on recent form or data, with a corresponding market eg “Both teams have scored in 11 of the last 12 Liverpool home games” and the associated BTTS market below.
You can see in the chart below, in greater detail, why certain bookies rank among the top for football betting sites, and what Lottoland is up against.

Bet Builder
There’s a bet builder option at Lottoland, and it’s not bad, but could definitely be improved upon.. I’d say it’s pretty standard, and if there were some more markets to add into builders they’d be more appealing. Generally market depth is a strength of Lottoland, so this is a little surprising. The only thing I can hope is that as it gets closer to kick-off and teams are announced more markets are added, but I haven’t seen anything like that so far.
Bonuses
This is pretty limited when it comes to sportsbook promotions, but there are two main ones to remember. Lottoland runs a Bore Draw refund, so your money back on losing pre-match correct score bets if the game finishes 0-0. The other main one is a weekly bet club. This gives bettors a free £5 bet in you stake £25+ on accumulator bets (at odds of 3/1 or more) over the course of the week.
Cash Out
Cashout is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. Lottoland has done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.
🏇 Horse Racing
Lottoland’s racing offering is okay, but not a lot more. There’s no UK races listed, although there are races from pretty much everywhere else in the world including Panama, Uruguay, Italy and South Korea. I can’t see anything in the way of forecast, tricast or anything else along those lines - just winner markets. It’s very much a wide selection, but not very deep.
🇺🇸 US Sports Betting
A full range of American Sports is available. We’ll check out the major leagues, but also look into the sports further down the pyramid and, as well as across the globe.
🏈 American Football Betting
Thankfully Lottoland shows the spread immediately when you land on the markets. It’s something that can irritate me quite a lot when it comes to American football – that being that when you see the event (a specific game), and it only lists the winner market, so glad that’s not the case here. You can see all the other markets once you click through and there is an absolute tonne here, including next season’s outrights and NFL Draft markets, which is great to have. It’s worth checking out our best NFL betting sites to see how Lottoland compares.
🏀 Basketball Betting
Covering the NBA, WNBA, college basketball, Euro League, as well as leagues in Turkey, Indonesia, Venezuela and more, Lottoland has an exceptional basketball offering, with well over 150 different markets to choose from, making it a great place to come to for basketball betting. In fact, like a lot of L&L sportsbooks, the number of international leagues covered is about as good as it gets. See how it compares to the best basketball betting sites in the country.
⚾ Baseball Betting
The MLB, understandably, is a large part of Lottoland’s baseball betting, but they also have markets for the Japanese, Taiwan and South Korean leagues. The markets, and the odds, especially on the outrights, appear to be really good. The MLB season is well underway at the moment, and there is an impressive amount of markets here, such as individual awards and other futures, on top of the individual match markets such as pitcher lines, batter hits and over/unders on triples. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see if they make it onto our list.
🏒 Ice Hockey Betting
The NHL takes up the majority of real estate here, as one would expect. But there are also some Austrian, Swedish and Australian fixtures included, among others. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there is a really impressive number of markets available – more than pretty most other sportsbooks I’d wager. For the lesser leagues that reduces a bit more, which makes sense. Overall, I think this is impressive from Lottoland.
🐕 Greyhound Betting
Lottoland doesn’t offer greyhound racing at the time of review.
🎯 Darts Betting
Matthew Edgar
Darts Editor and WDF Professional
We’re constantly assessing the very best darts betting sites in the UK, and Lottoland matches up well enough. I went through some of the upcoming Premier League match ups, as well as some smaller events such as the Modus series, and there are plenty of markets for each game. There’s also already some outrights on the next World Championships, despite how far out it is, which is always a decent thing to have and an easy win for bookies, so odd when they don’t list it.
As with the best snooker betting sites, there are markets for some small upcoming events, plus futures on the World Championships, UK Championships and Masters. There aren’t a lot of markets here per match, which is a bit of a shame, but I do like the statistics in the bar down the right-hand side – there’s a good selection of stuff here and the fact that you can toggle between different types of data is fantastic.
By Luke Bradshaw Lee - This isn’t great I’m being totally honest. Firstly, it’s worth knowing that rugby league and rugby union are split and so are housed in different places, which I think is a better way of doing things, so absolutely no issues with that. What is an issue, however, is that within match events there is a pretty limited selection of markets to bet on – just results, handicap and a scoring markets, with nothing in the way of player markets such as try scorer or points scorer. If there was more I’d absolutely see them making OLBG’s best Rugby betting sites.
🏏 Cricket Betting
James Banting
Tipster Competition Assistant
If there were anything in the way of specific cricket promotions, or if the odds were a little better, I could see Lottoland being one of our Top 10 cricket betting sites. Overall, it’s a really good offering because Lottoland has a brilliant selection of competitions, and that goes for tournaments across the world, as well as more niche leagues in said countries. I also love how many markets are available here for each game assuming it’s a big fixture – it reduces a fair bit for smaller competitions and games, but that’s understandable.
By James Banting - This is probably the best part of the Lottoland sportsbook. You can stream live selected tennis matches, the bet builder option is great, the supporting statistics are on point and there’s brilliant coverage across a whole host of events. They may not have quite the same number of markets as the very best when it comes to sheer quantity, but this is a brilliant option for tennis bettors. See if they make it into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.
🏌️ Golf Betting
By James Banting - Lottoland’s golf offering is a bit disappointing. There are lots of competitions covered, but limited in terms of markets. There are a few smaller tournaments happening right now, or due to start soon, such as the Phoenix Open, Astara Championship or Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, and these are listed in some capacity. I’d like to see a good bit more for me to consider using them consistently.
🏎️ Motorsports Betting
Andy Powell

There is loads here. For the next upcoming Formula 1 Grand Prix there are so many markets to choose from. Obviously there is the winner, but also how many times the safety car will be out, head to heads on driver finishes, and absolutely tons of yes/no question based markets to choose between. On top of that there are also markets for Nascar, Indycar, Rally, Speedway and Formula E.
There’s plenty of boxing bouts to get stuck into here, and the markets look dependent on how far in advance they are. Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have an okay offering, whereas the further away they get the less markets on offer. That’s fair enough, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away, but I would definitely like more options for big fights happening this week, and that’s definitely limited based on my experience with Lottoland.
Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is a massive market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG.

🗳️ Political Betting
Nigel Skinner
Blog Content Manager
Lottoland houses its political betting under “Specials”, along with entertainment. Their political betting is pretty good overall. There are some US Presidential markets, but not loads, and odds on the next Mayor of London. In terms of UK General Election markets, there are next Prime Minister odds, majority odds and next party leader markets, too.
This is very poor from Lottoland, with just a market for BBC Sports Personality of the Year. I’d expect a bit more of a light-hearted approach to Specials betting, with markets in music, film, awards ceremonies and even some super-specific seasonal stuff.
Lottoland does have casino. It’s incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top and, as mentioned, it’s where you’re directed to from the off. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.
You can also check out OLBG’s latest addition; our Best Bingo Sites. All of which are, obviously, sites fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
Lottoland Account Opening Process
A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen Lottoland has their “Register” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.
Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]
I prefer the desktop version to the app, but both are good, if not the absolute best around. There’s the issue of having to get to the sportsbook via the casino that is mentioned above, but once you’re there everything seems in order. One thing I think would make it much better is the ability to click on a sport and see all markets at once. If you select “Football” for example, you get the drop down of all the different leagues to then select, but what I want is to be able to see all at once and then decide.
Placing a bet
This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to Lottoland I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which worked well.
Managing your account
As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like Lottoland has got this part nailed.

Great new addition to online gambling

To start with a positive Lottoland is a great new addition for online gamblers who wish to play lotteries that are not domiciled in the UK and therefore is a great addition to customer choice. They also to other games and scratchcards. They have adequate sports betting options even so it is quite rudimentary they main gripe is that horse racing is missing.

For a start, Lotto doesn;t really belong on a serious gambling website as it is pure luck. You can't tip a winner, put any science into winning, or have a sensible betting strategy. Secondly, if you want to bet on a Lotto, do it directly.
