Full Stakewise Bookmaker Review

StakeWise offers a solid betting product, but the football and racing are the key features appreciated by both users and the OLBG team

It features a really good welcome offer, boosted prices, instant deposits and customer support via email.

Verification is under UK Gambling Commission licence number 100802 (Rocbrook Ltd).

I review what bettors properly care about – value, transparency and reliability. In this StakeWise review, I’ll focus on their odds, welcome bonus, secure banking options, trusted UKGC regulation, and what to watch out for when it comes to deposits and withdrawals.

StakeWise launched in the UK in 2026. They are a new, independent sportsbook and casino, fully regulated by the UKGC.

My First Impressions

Because StakeWise is completely independent, it doesn’t have the rinse and repeat feel that some bookies can have. There is a casino, but this definitely feels sports-first. There are plenty of promos that run along the top, a football focus and racing all within the homepage when you arrive.

Live Betting

Select the  “IN PLAY” part of the sportsbook and you’ll find all the live markets. There are a plenty of options here, with football, tennis, basketball and cricket. The odds are decent and but I can’t find anything in the way of stats or supporting graphics and info. Overall, it’s pretty limited.

You can check if they make it into our best bookmakers for in-play betting here.

Live Streaming

StakeWise offers no live streaming at the time of review.

Betting Odds

The odds at StakeWise are fine enough. You can still get better value elsewhere if you properly lineshop, but they’re decent here. We checked a variety of sports, including racing, tennis, football, basketball and cricket. Regardless of sport, these are pretty nice.

Betting App or Mobile Site?

There is no StakeWise app. The mobile version of the site is very similar to the desktop version. The menu moves to the bottom, rather than down the left-hand side, but because this is a trusted platform - used by multiple sportsbooks - it’s understandably easy to use and straightforward to navigate. Bettors will feel at home finding their way around this, whether new or experienced.

Compare to the best betting apps in the country.

⚽ Football Betting

The football betting at StakeWise is arguably the strongest part of their offering. It doesn’t quite make our best football betting sites in the UK, but it’s still a very decent option and one of the bookies’ strong points. Most of their boosted prices are football and there’s plenty to keep you interested. There are plenty of markets per game, and a huge amount of competitions included, but maybe not as many as some of the big hitters in the industry.

Bet Builder

This is fine. Head to any football match and it’ll be one of your first options, where you can add multiple bets from an event into a multiple. There are loads and loads of markets available; scroll down and you can choose between most of the markets that you’d expect, but I’d like to see some more player markets for fouls committed, or fouls won, and similar markets that aren’t offered.

Bonuses

There isn’t really anything in the way of promotions here. The ones that are here are mainly football-based, with boosts on selected bet builders, and some acca boosts. These work by adding a bigger boost the more legs that you add, with the chance to double the initial boost.

Cash Out

Cash out is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. StakeWise have done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.

🏇 Horse Racing

This is also probably one of the strongest aspects of StakeWise’s product. All UK and Irish meets are covered, while punters can also bet on international meets, including the US, Australia, Brazil, South Africa and others. Flicking the race order between odds and racecard is also a nice little touch. In terms of promotions. The odds look decent enough; there’s some form listed for each race, and there are Extra Places offered on selected races.

You can see how they compare to our top 10 best horse racing betting sites.

🇺🇸 US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available, including all the major leagues, plus college games and the same sports across the globe.

🏈 American Football Betting

In terms of design, it’s exactly what you want, with moneyline, total and spread markets all listed on the main page, before all other markets once you click on a specific game. That said, they’re not named properly, so instead of those, they’re called Home Away, Over/Under and Asian Handicap. There are some outrights listed, but there are some things missing here. There’s very little when it comes to player props, and in terms of outrights, nothing in the way of player markets again, so no MVP odds, Defensive Player of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year and so on. It’s worth checking out our best NFL betting sites to see how StakeWise compares.

🏀 Basketball Betting

StakeWise has loads of basketball leagues to bet on, with hundreds of competitions. There are also plenty of markets per game, with game, team and player markets covered impressively. That said, we’re right in the middle of the WNBA, and I can’t find any markets for that, which isn’t a great look.

You can compare StakeWise to the best basketball betting sites.

⚾ Baseball Betting

StakeWise obviously covers the MLB, with an extra smattering of some international leagues. The odds, especially on the outrights, look pretty good, but there is a limit on the amount of markets per match. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.

🏒 Ice Hockey Betting

The NHL takes up the majority of space here, which I’d obviously expect. But there are also some Australian, Finnish and German fixtures included, among others. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there are loads of markets listed – more than pretty much anywhere else. For the smaller leagues that reduces a bit more, which is understandable. It’s quite nice to see some odds on the NHL Draft, also, that’s definitely something that you won’t get everywhere.

🐕 Greyhound Betting

This is pretty good, although we’ve already mentioned that StakeWise doesn’t have Best Odds Guaranteed, but it may stil attract punters for greyhounds specifically given how the races that it covers. Beyond that, there are markets for all races today in the UK and Ireland, with Winner, Trap Winner and Forecast options available.

Check out our best greyhound betting sites.

🎯 Darts Betting

Matthew Edgar

Matthew Edgar

StakeWise does some nice things. The outrights on future events are okay, and once you click through to the match ups you’ll find a good amount of different markets per match. Most major competitions are covered – there’s outright markets on the World Championships, despite it being way off – and each match has markets for result, legs, checkouts and handicaps, among others.

Snooker Betting

Steve Madgwick

Steve Madgwick

StakeWise covers all the major competitions. Each match has markets on the result, frames, points, century breaks and more. The odds are nice and I can see snooker fans betting here. The nice thing that StakeWise has for its snooker betting is that there are snooker markets included in their boosted prices, so if you want to scan it quickly, you can see which snooker markets are offering that extra value.

🏉 Rugby Betting (Union & League)

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - Union and League are split into different categories which I personally always like. This is a bit of a let down, however, especially for the Union section, because there aren’t any domestic competitions listed. This may be because we’re in the middle of the Six Nations, but there is no Prem, URC, Top14 and so on. There is Super Rugby listed, but the lack of domestic competition does jarr. There are some nice outrights and future markets for the Six Nations, but a lack of markets - especially player props - for the individual games. See how they compare to our best rugby betting sites.

🏏 Cricket Betting

James Banting

James Banting

Expert Guide

For international matches, and that means Twenty20 games as well as Test matches, there are loads of markets per game. Expect the likes of wicket betting, over betting, four and sixes betting, as well as plenty of player markets. The only things that let it down are the lack of live streaming and the lack of stats. I’d like to see some more competitions listed, because you’ll find more elsewhere, but to be fair the main ones that you’ll want to bet on are all here.

We list the 10 best cricket betting sites here.

🎾 Tennis Betting

By James Banting - Tennis is catered quite well across the product. You get some tennis matches for in-play markets, there are pretty decent stats and graphics for those matches, too, and tennis is well represented in the boosted prices that StakeWise offer. Most WTA and ATP competitions are here, and there are outrights on the Grand Slams, but I’d like some markets per match.

See if they make it into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.

🏌️ Golf Betting

By James Banting - StakeWise’s golf offering is decent enough. There are futures markets on all the majors (including the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup), and there is a selection, around six or seven, of upcoming tournaments of varying importance. Yes, you’ll find a bit more at some other bookies – and it’s worth checking our best golf betting sites to see how StakeWise compares – but generally this is fine. Head into any specific tournament and you’ll find actually quite a nice number of markets to bet on, including Top 10 and Top 20 Finish, 1st Round Leader, and markets on each 2 Ball.

🏎️ Motorsports Betting

Andy Powell

Andy Powell

Expert Guide

This is alright. For most motorsports you navigate from the Motorsports tab, but Formula 1 has its own dedicated section. In the general one, there’s Super Bikes, IndyCar, plus Moto2 and Moto3. I’m guessing Speedway and other motorsports get added as and when, as there are no markets for them whatsoever. For F1 markets, they feel about right for the upcoming Grand Prix, and overall are pretty good, but it’s definitely let down by the rest.

Compare to the best motorsport betting sites.

🥊 Boxing Betting

There’s a good enough amount of boxing to get stuck into here, and the markets look dependent on how far away the actual fight is. Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have an okay offering, whereas the further away they get the less markets on offer. That’s understandable, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away, but I would definitely like more options for big bouts this weekend, and that’s definitely limited based on my experience with StakeWise.

Compare to the best boxing betting sites.

Other Sports Betting

Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is still a large enough market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s dig in a bit further.

StakeWise offers extensive betting options for volleyball, AFL betting, Gaelic sports and table tennis. Volleyball covers European Championships and various tournaments; AFL betting has comprehensive stats and GAA has football and hurling across county and club games.

🗳️ Political Betting

StakeWise offers no political betting at the time of review.

Casino

StakeWise does have casino. It’s incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.

Account Opening Process

A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen StakeWise has their “REGISTER” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

The StakeWise mobile site is very good. The desktop version of the site is better than most, but the mobile version does exactly what you want and that is not to feel too far removed when you switch from one device to the next. It feels really clean, and is super simple to navigate.

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to StakeWise I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very good indeed.

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the  left of the screen. On the mobile version, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like StakeWise has got this part nailed.

StakeWise Responsible Gambling Features

As with all online betting companies, responsible gambling should be and will be an essential element of the service provided.

Expect KYC procedures and document supply as a matter-of-course, to confirm your account after you have deposited a certain level of funds and in the event of any large wins.

You can set limits for yourself across depositing options and daily staking options too, so you can set your levels and keep control of your gambling.

Expect StakeWise to contact you via your preferred communication method if there are suspicious activities on your account. This protects your account from being accessed by someone other than you and ensures you control your gambling activity. StakeWise have a legal obligation to question your activity if they believe it to be suspicious.

Responsible Gambling

StakeWise has a full suite of responsible gambling tools for your protection and may request further identification after certain depositing levels are exceeded or stakes are increased quickly.
