Full Betfred Bookmaker Review
Overall, Betfred is one of the best bookmakers available in the UK. As mentioned, they make our top nine for 11 different categories – this puts it just outside the absolute top scoring bookies, but still very high.
Betfred is brilliant for some sports. Tennis, football, cricket, plus a few more. The downside is the complete omission of other smaller sports – if you like betting on smaller sports such as handball, or Aussie Rules football then there is nothing here for you, which is a shame to see. Even if it was just a token offering, it would mean not having to find other bookies if you’re going from your usual football or racing betting and want to dabble elsewhere. That aside, the promotions on Betfred are elite, proper industry-leading stuff, particularly for football.

Betfred’s online accounts were launched in 2004 but the UK’s biggest independent bookmaker has been established as a high street bookmaker since 1968. Betfred is well known for their wide range of betting promotions and innovative new products, the companies’ nickname of the Bonus King is well deserved. The company strives to make its product an uncomplicated betting experience, the Betfred website is attractive, easy to use, and offers clear quick-responding menus.

Live in-play betting is of course featured on Betfred but their in-play side of things feels a bit clunky and outdated compared to the rest of the site. The statistics given for in-play betting aren't anywhere near as clear as other bookmakers and due to that they really struggle from the live betting side. This forms part of the reasoning why Betfred don't feature in the top 10 best bookmakers for in-play betting.

Streaming is available on Betfred across a whole range of events including horse or greyhound racing betting on their app. It isn't just the standard Racing viewing that is on Betfred with other sports including Snooker and Tennis also offering streams. To view these streams on their site and app you just need to have an active Betfred account with balance of at least £0.01.
Betting Odds
Above are details on which sports Betfred were most competitive last month. The percentage figure demonstrates how often they were best odds, or joint best odds for each sport when compared with other bookmakers EG: 60% means if you used only this bookmaker for a sport, you would have got the best odds 60% of the time. The Betfred site and app both have a similar layout, but I definitely enjoy the app more than the desktop version. Betfred's design is well-structured and the design overall is efficient despite its interface absolutely crammed full of info. I found myself using the app over the desktop more and more, which is no sleight on the desktop version, but the app definitely feels more intuitive. Our user reviews point towards the reliability of the site being impressive plus the app being good due to the fast sign-in process there.
Placing a bet
This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to Betfred I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed. Placing a bet on Betfred is straightforward with the betslip instantly appearing on your screen when you click a selection.

When I looked around the Betfred site there were many similar features to most betting sites. It had an excellent range of sports covered, price boosts, acca insurance and promotions on joining. I did like the layout of the football section and the feature "Pickyourpunt" although this only seems to be built around football betting. Surely this could be extended to other sports. Shortly it will be the Betfred Snooker Masters and it would br great to be able to build bets around highest break, most centuries, etc. Sites have to stand out these days or else people flit and loyalty is lost.

Several things have disappointed me. Their customer service/support is terrible. Twice I have had to contact them. The first time because I had a bet wrongly settled ( never a good sign!!) took them 24hrs to respond and the bet was corrected. And then the second time they have not even responded to an enquiry I made re some free BetFred bonus tickets that I had no idea how/where to use them. I eventually found out purely by chance and I lost the chance to use them at 730pm and as it was a poker game I had to join late, meaning I lost any advantage. I remember back in the day BetFred had a good reputation. I had an average experience and the other thing which I do not like is that their best odds guarantees do not apply to Lucky 15s.
I have just withdrawn my money from them.....thats one thing they do well, withdraw and the money is back instantly. But I will look for a bookmaker who actually at least pretends to care about their customer

Not bad overall and they have some decent offers such as treble odds for just one winner on 'Lucky' bets (15, 31, 63), although excluding 'best odds guaranteed' on such bets for UK & Irish horse racing seems petty to me. Odds are strictly average, but maximum bet limits are decent. Have never had any major issues with payments and their standard of customer service is generally above average. Their website can be very slow and isn't the easiest to navigate.

Not my favourite bookie ....difficult to get on if you want a decent bet. Recently tried get a decent bet on at decent odds only to be told I can have £50.00 e/w at 33-1 and rest at SP , whilst I was standing at the counter while this was relayed to me promptly halved the odds....That aside infamous Fred's pushes invariably allow you get a slight edge of one trades on the exchanges. Website leaves a lot to be desired and info is sparse.
It is impossible to tell whether a rule 4 penalty has been applied to your bet, nothing anywhere tells you that.
BOG does not apply to ACCA's or Lucky bets.
As with other bookies the whole mantra of "Bet Responsibly" is meaningless. If you bet responsibly whether you win or don't your account gets restricted.

The high street shops are now coming to an end. Online, the major players are all trying with various offers to get edge, Bet365 is a long way clear of the rest. I have seen nothing from Betfred in a very long time to make me have a bet with them.
Because they were the innovators of bonuses for multiple bets, and they have continued offering them.
You will regularly find bonuses on multiple bets (Lucky 15's, Lucky31's, Lucky63's).
Add in best odds guaranteed on several horse races a day and unique football bets, and the bonus king moniker has stuck.
How long does Betfred withdrawal take?
Your request will be processed within 48 hours.
e-Wallet solutions like PayPal or Neteller if available will see you in possession of your funds quicker than debit card banking options, but this is down to the banking processes rather than how quickly betfred administer withdrawal requests.
