Full Coral Bookmaker Review
Established in 1926, Coral is one of the oldest and biggest names in the betting industry.
Coral has over 1800 betting shops in the UK, and also own two greyhound tracks – Romford & Hove.
In more recent times, they have expanded their reach with a huge marketing presence via TV & social media advertising. This has enabled them to build a fantastic online offering and to maintain their position as one of the biggest and best names in the betting industry along with betting apps on IOS and Android
In 2016, Coral merged with Ladbrokes to form Ladbrokes Coral Ltd, Britain’s biggest bookmaker, the ltd company was then purchased by GVC Holdings.
So that’s who Coral are, but what do OLBG users think about them?
What OLBG users think about Coral
What our users say!
Good site and app. payouts quick and easy withdrawals
As you can see from the user reviews below, most have given Coral 4 stars. That’s a solid rating, and it’s easy to see why they’ve impressed. These are the main things that OLBG users have talked about:
Great promotions - OLBG users often talk about the abundance of promotions for existing customers, referring to Best Odds Guaranteed and plenty of bet boosts, as well as Acca Insurance for football.
It’s great to have a bookie that rewards their regular customers, not just the new ones.
Top marks for Coral here.
Easy Withdrawals
Quick Payout | Easy Withdrawals
You cant ask for more than that!
People have referenced Coral’s ‘quick and easy’ withdrawals, and it’s easy to see why this is a huge plus for betting customers.
You can even withdraw money as cash from any Coral shop in the UK if you sign up for a Coral Connect card!
Live Streaming
Some of our users love to bet in-play, and this experience is massively enhanced with Coral’s live streaming.
This feature can really give you the edge and help you to place educated bets at lightning speed.
Betting Odds
OLBG users have had different experiences when it comes to the prices on their bets.
Their prices have been described as ‘excellent value’, whilst others refer to them as ‘competitive’ or ‘average’.
Coral Live Chat
Some OLBG users have described their Live Chat service as helpful and polite, we wouldn't expect anything less from such an established bookmaker.
Coral Cash Out
Much like most top bookmakers now Coral cash out is available and can be used to minimise losses or lock in profits when betting on any sport.
You also have the ability to partially cash out on Coral, leaving some of your bet to run, but taking some of your profits.
Coral Horse Racing
Coral sponsors a number of races throughout the racing calendar and of course the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. One of the most competitive races at the festival our Cheltenham Tips page may help you find the winner, and perhaps you could even bet the winner of the Coral Cup with the sponsor themselves!! Coral often provide specific promotions for their race.
Coral Greyhounds
Most, if not all, bookmakers offer welcome offers and sign-up bonuses, but Coral are great at having these in tandem with a whole host of promotions for existing customers. This is a bookmaker who has been pricing up greyhounds for a very long time, and it shows. There is live streaming on all UK and Irish races, there’s very competitive odds and live radio commentary. When it comes to stats, Coral partner with TimeForm, meaning that there are write-ups for every race, with tips (usually three selections ranked by strength of conviction), something – as we’ve mentioned above – that suits new and experienced bettors alike.
You can see why Coral ranks as one of the best greyhound betting sites in the chart below.
for more info.
Coral Football
Coral football odds are renowned for being very competitive, however, beware, Coral betting odds are generally very accurate, so when they go best odds on a selection take it as a hint.
Coral Snooker
One of the best ports of call for snooker odds that offer the best value, and one of only two UK bookmakers offering snooker specific promotions. Head to Coral and you’ll get odds boosts on snooker markets, including pre-build accas and bet builders – often flipping odds on markets into better than even money. When it comes to snooker betting sites, you have to have an account with Coral. You can see below why Coral is the best snooker betting site in the chart below.
for more info.
Coral Cricket
Coral should be noted for their Cricket betting, in our research they covered more markets than their rivals, they were also very keen with their acca and single odds.
Coral Promotions
Coral has many promotions for existing customers. Once signed up these can be found around the site and in the bonus bets section.
As always please check the terms and conditions of any offer.
Coral Acca Bonus
When placing an Acca on Coral check if there is a bonus or boost for a certain amount of winning selections. Many online bookies do add a bonus for accas.
Your Call/Build Your Bet
Can’t find the bet you want? Why not create your own bet?
Select your game, pick your player and combine the stats you want, and Coral will offer you a price instantly.
The Coral #Your Call/Build Your Bet bet function offers more sports than many other bookies
You can ask for prices on Cricket, Boxing, Horse Racing, Golf, Darts, and Tennis + more sports are being added.
You can find existing markets under the #Your Call header on the site.
Click any banner on this page to check out the #YourCall/Build Your Bet feature.

Coral Mobile App Review
The Coral app is one of the best betting apps out there.
You can see the amount of work that has gone into the app by the developers.
It mirrors the website and of all the apps we tested it was certainly one of the quickest to start betting with.
Coral App on Android or IOS
Available as a Coral Android app or a Coral IOS app the choice is yours, dependent on your phone or tablet.
As befits such a major betting player the Coral app is not an afterthought but a platform that sits neatly within all its channels.
The blue colour of the Coral app is instantly recognisable as the Coral colours, so those used to betting with Coral on their website will feel comfortable placing bets via the Coral app.
Many bettors have reported with the app so good, and incredibly easy to use, that even when the desktop option is available they stick with the Coral app.
This wouldn't happen unless the app was easy to navigate and enjoyable to bet from.
Unlike some apps, the Coral app receives good reviews for its reliability, a prerequisite for those betting, especially when wagering in play.
You can, of course, bet pre-match or in-play via the app.
One of the Quickest
There are plenty of daily promos once you have downloaded the Coral app.
Streaming of live events is on offer from the Coral betting app as long as you are logged in, Coral cover a lot of live events worldwide, all can be accessed from the Coral mobile app.
A cash-out facility is on offer when you wish to take your profits or cut your losses, some bookmaker apps do not offer cash-out options.
This facility is available, with the cash-out option front and centre on the Coral betting app.
Coral Cash Out available on the App
Bettors seem to be loving the ability to create their own bets, many of the big bookies now offer some sort of bet creation where you choose your game, pick your player and combine the stats you want.
The Coral version is called #Your Call.
If you can’t find the bet you want, you can build it yourself on the Coral app
Coral Mobile App Summary
In conclusion, downloading the Coral app is hassle-free and betting from the Coral app couldn't be any easier.
If you are a novice bettor and have never downloaded a betting app, then Coral would be a good starting point, you should have no issues signing up, navigating the site, or placing your first bet.
When and if you do download the Coral app please add a review below, and let us know if you agree with the OLBG Coral Review.

Their commitment to responsible gambling is commendable, highlighting their dedication to customer well-being and safety. In summary, Coral is a premier choice for sports betting, providing an outstanding all-around experience with competitive odds, a user-friendly interface, exceptional customer service, and a range of features suitable for all types of bettors.
“Great markets and promotions”
Coral have got loads of offers on the football and horse racing, like acca insurance and fallers insurance. They also have a bet builder where you can create a bet on the football instead of having to request one. Been pleasantly surprised by the odds for Cheltenham this year - with all the promotions I thought they'd be skinny, but they're amongst the best. Much improved, would recommend
“Great Bookie”
I never liked Coral's when I worked for them, but 40 years since I left, I now use their site. They have competitive prices on most events. They have 3 free slots tournaments every day and a rewards grabber full of prizes. I also get a lot of random freebies like £2 on roulette. Overall they are one of the best out there.
“Stick one on it!”
Good site and app. Payouts quick and easy withdrawls. Lacks some matches and markets though so sometimes can be annoyin to get on. Odds are sometimes better than others but mostly the same. Definately worth a look.
1 user found this helpful“Not A Stand Out Bookie but a Solid One”
I mainly use Paddy Power, Bet365 and SkyBet for my main singles and accas on horse racing but Coral is also a go-to choice for some markets. I don't use sport betting but I do play the horses and Coral has some good angles to use. I particulalry like their Beaten by a Length offer on specific races. so if you get nutted on the line then you get a free bet. It's worth looking what race they are offering this on and taking a view of who is likely to be second and having a punt. They also do BOG and sometimes their odds are better than a few of the aforementioned sites. I also like the fact that they have a few promotions each day to have a pop at plus some decent sign up offers. I also like the fact that they have shops as well as an online presence. The website isnt great and looks a lot like the Ladbrokes one. Takes a while to load up at times and doesn't respond quickly to in-play markets which is a pain. Could have wider markets available IMO and would like to see more lengthen your odds options but otherwise a pretty decent bookmaker. Pays out well and no issues from me.
“Coral Review”
Coral is a bookmaker that has been around for nearly 100 years and is therefore one of the most identifiable in the industry. They still have shops in towns and cities across the country and also have their website and app. Their website is easy to use and covers virtually all the sports you want to bet on. What I like about Coral is that you can still deposit a minimum of £5 where most have a £10 minimum these days. They also have some good free to enter competitions each week like the Football Super Series and the Racing Super Series. If you manage to get lucky you can win a very decent cash prize. My major dislike with Coral is that their odds very often prove not to be good. Value is very often found elsewhere. On the whole though this is a decent offering from an established bookmaker.
“Why I don’t use coral anymore.”
I used coral for a short period during the lockdown. They were a mixed bag. Some good qualities. Some not so good. The beaten by less than a length promotion was ok. Their betting without the fav was ok. But on the other hand , their cash out set up was rubbish. No cash outs available for golf bets. No real excuse for this , as other firms did have cash outs for golf . And when allowed a cash out , I noticed that corals was not up to the amount that other firms offered. And one last point , their live racing viewing was not great. Often fuzzy. And at times the sound was poor. Might have been my I pad , but then I had no bother with other firms. One last thing, while looking to put on a bet , the coral page would often jump to something that I was not really interested in. Like say I was putting on a football bet , the page would jump to some games or slots graphic. Were they trying to push this sort of thing. So I left coral in the end. Their site wasn’t for me. Not the worse imo. But not great either.
“Limited Experience”
Its hard for me to fully comment on Corals as I had only a small amount of time to experience their "experience". I found all the basics top class such as depositing money, withdrawing money, bet placement etc and indeed in my opinion it was up there with the best. Despite a gentle start to life with Corals as soon as I had a few winning bets they restricted my account. I can understand this if I was winning loads but it was only a matter of a few hundred pounds to relatively small stakes. I didn't get an explanation apart from they felt it was a trading decision,
“Behind with their Website & Sports Machines”
I enjoy going into my local Coral Shop and the Football Coupon selection is very good. I like to do Numbers there aswell but I find their website is one of the worst for navigation and fast searching/browsing. Sports machines are not as good as William Hill for markets and quality of paper/ink used in these machines.
“Never Learn”
I'm not a big fan of Coral, their server is slow at the best of times, their markets aren't the best like most of the high street firms they are playing catch up after languishing behind the original online players, the one thing that keeps me using them is, i do well with them win wise, fool or superstitious or maybe both.
“”
Corals web site can be upsetting at times with limited functions. I tried to place a multi bet on the night before and they would only allow singles and when asked about this, they stated "concern about over heads", This was really off putting, the plus side at least you can go to there shops and with draw,
“Restrictions”
Lasted around 5 months when winning on the horses and getting offered lots of promotions for casino games which I didn’t take before heavy restrictions were put on my account. As expected when I asked for further details why this had been done they wouldn’t say beyond “it is a decision by our trading team”.
“Truly Bizarre”
I've also had customer service problems, and spent goodness knows who much on phone calls to the UK. Their 'free phone' in Ireland where I live, doesn't work. Deposited five euro to take advantage of the 5/1 for new customers on Ruby Walsh riding any winner at Cheltenham. Deposited another 10 euro to get the bingo offer. Turned it all into 118 euro, and then tried to take most of it out. Wouldn't let me. Despite having sent them passport verification etc, they refused to release the money because the name on my credit card wasn't my full passport name. I had to add a debit card in my passport name, and then pay in another 5 euro to activate it. Called up my account and saw my 118 winnings had completely disappeared! Phoned again, eventually got it resolved, and got my money but it's the worst online bookie I've come across.
“One of the worst”
Don’t get on with Coral at all. I don’t seem to be eligible for any of their offers but they never tell me before the event. For some reason can only get small bets on. Also had account hacked and customer service is so poor.
“Awful bookmaker”
I placed 3 bets with these years ago (first and only bets), short prices, all won. Next day they’d banned me from placing any bets on anything on their sportsbook. But unsurprisingly they’d still allow me to use their casino

Coral maximum payouts whilst not the best overall are comparable with high payout limits from many other bookmakers.
Horse racing and football payouts are sufficiently high enough to cover all but the most speculative of accumulators, or high stake single bets.
Lower maximum payouts for lesser sports are standard, although they are particularly generous on Darts payouts.
If you are going to bet big at Coral, or make a huge accumulator bet, make sure you understand the maximum payouts at Coral before you bet.
It may be that the odds or stake means maximum payout limits may be exceeded, and you would not be paid out in full, which would be in line with their terms and conditions,
You may be better served by lowering your stake and thus your risk on a big bet.
If you are more interested in high payouts because you bet with high stakes then we advise you take a look at the full guide to betting with high stakes and which bookmakers accept big bets which we created for max payouts and is updated regularly.
Here you can find how to bet for maximum payouts and which bookies accept high stakes.
