Betting odds continue to be offered on the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner with Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior now shortening into 1/6 with betting sites to win the award.
Vini Jr has been the favourite for a number of months now after winning the UEFA Champions League which saw his odds tumble into just 2/5 to be crowned Ballon d'Or winner.
His odds have shortened even further though in the last few weeks following injury to his main competitor in the market Rodri which sees him ruled out for the rest of the season.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has now drifted out to 7/2 in the betting market to win the Ballon d'Or award after a season-ending injury sustained a fortnight ago.
Rodri had been the big contender to Vini Jr for the Ballon d'Or but that injury now makes it impossible for him to make a final push to win the award.
The Spanish midfielder has had a massive year with the summer seeing his Spain side win the European Championship after beating England in the final.
Rodri had an extended break this season before he suffered an ACL injury against Arsenal in September to rule him out for the season.

The 2023 Ballon d'Or award was handed to Lionel Messi after he won the 2022 World Cup for Argentina in Qatar the winter prior to that.
Messi's win was a record-extending eighth time that he was voted as the Ballon d'Or winner with the win coming in somewhat controversial fashion.
Many were backing Manchester City forward Erling Haaland to win the award after a treble-winning campaign saw him break goalscoring records in the Premier League.
Messi though eventually was crowned winner with a total of 462 points against Haaland's 357.
