Full Myriad Play Bookmaker Review

Like a lot of Aspire brands, Myriad Play is brilliant for betting on minor sports. If you want to bet on stock car racing, the Olympics, field hockey or pesapallo, then you’ve found your home.

Beyond that, most major sports have a really good number of markets, and  probably more than a lot of other bookies. There are, however, some sports that aren’t covered very well at all. Horse racing, greyhound racing and a couple of others aren’t a high enough standard to ensure player retention from users. And for the US sports, while the actual content is fine there’s too many product/style issues that mean it won’t compete against alternatives.

There is also a lack of promotions – beyond some odds boosts here and there. That may not be an issue as promotions aren’t as important as good odds, for example, but it does put some punters off. If not, there’s a very good chance that punters may stay here because it’s one of the few places that they can find what they’re after.

Myriad Play Review Summary

Fantastic market depth on minor sports such as field hockey, surfing or stock car racing.

PROS & CONS of Myriad Play Online Betting Site

The below is all explained in finer detail later in this review, but these quick pros and cons give users an instant understanding of where Myriad Play’s strengths lie.

Pros

  • Great market depth on minor sports.

  • Excellent esports offering on multiple game titles.

  • Huge range of betting options on US sports.

Cons

  • No dedicated app available.

  • Limited greyhound racing.

Who are Myriad Play?

A new bookie to the UK, Myriad Play arrives as the latest Aspire Global sportsbook, so comes with plenty of experience. Aspire is responsible for a multitude of successful bookies and casinos, but for the former think the likes of mr.play, ZetBet and Neptune Play. Let’s see what Myriad Play offers to punters.

  • Established in 2024

  • AG Communications Ltd

  • UKGC licence number - 39483

First Impression of Myriad Play

Luke Bradshaw Lee

My First Impressions

The branding, and even some of the font may be different, but if you’ve ever used any of the other Aspire Global sportsbooks – mr.play, BzeeBet or LuckLand – you’ll immediately recognise the platform. The paintwork is different, but the engine works in much the same way. Once you’ve selected “Sport” at the very top of the page, you’ll immediately be taken to all the in-play markets. The menu down the side immediately conveys just how many sports, competitions and events are covered here. The menu also features a slider just above, allowing punters to move from different time frames: today, three days, this week etc.

- Luke Bradshaw Lee, Senior sports betting editor

Myriad Play Live Betting

As mentioned above, the in-play markets are where you initially arrive, something that is fairly standard across most sportsbooks, allowing you to then choose to navigate markets from this page. There are some sports not featured here, snooker for example, which does suggest that the coverage isn’t quite as wide-ranging as I first thought, but there’s some smaller sports such as esports and table tennis covered, which is a theme that we’ll see continue. You can check if they make it into our best bookmakers for in-play betting here.

Myriad Play Live Streaming

Myriad Play doesn’t offer any live streaming at the time of this review.

Myriad Play Betting Odds

If we compare Myriad Play’s odds to other bookies across the industry, as well as checking some comparison sites, Myriad Play – like most other Aspire Global brands – offers pretty solid odds across the board . We checked tennis, football and basketball for in-play odds, plus horse racing, and cricket for pre-match and antepost odds. What’s worth highlighting is that Myriad Play offers odds on some very minor sports (hurling and biathlon, for example), so will be one of the few places you can find odds on such sports at all.

Myriad Play Betting App or Mobile Site

Quite a few Aspire bookies don’t have apps, in fact most of them don’t, and it can be a bit frustrating. Bet442, one specific Aspire bookie, does and it’s really good, so I’m not entirely sure why the same platform can’t be used across other bookies. I will say that the mobile version of the site works perfectly well but doesn’t offer anything in the way of neat, extra features that an app can provide. Overall, I prefer the mobile version as I find the navigation a bit slicker when compared to the desktop version. See how it compares to the best betting apps in the UK.

Myriad Play Football Betting

We rank every bookie, at every sport, and Myriad Play is a little off our best football betting sites in the UK, but it’s still pretty good. The menu panel is telling me that there’s around 900 different games that I can bet on at this moment in time, evidence that it covers the sport in terms of event coverage as good as pretty much anyone. Beyond that, you can’t argue with the market depth per event, which is also very impressive. There’s no live streaming, however, and the in-play betting isn’t as good as some others, which is why it doesn’t crack our top 10.

You can see in the chart below, in greater detail, why certain bookies rank among the top for football betting sites, and what Myriad Play is up against.

Bet Builder

I think on the whole, Aspire have improved their bet builder across most brands, because this is definitely better than similar products that I remember. The bet builder function works really well, and has more markets than you initially think – selecting certain markets brings about additional drop-downs and more specific markets. There’s plenty of player options – something that can sometimes be overlooked – and it’s difficult to fault.

Bonuses

I always find it a bit off putting when a bookie lists features such as cash out and bet builder in their promotions page, because these are fairly standard across the board and it’s definitely a stretch to call them promotions. Myriad Play claims that they reward loyal customers with additional bonuses, which is good to hear, but I’d definitely like to see some more in the way of promotions from the off.

Cash Out

Cashout is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. Myriad Play have done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.

Myriad Play Horse Racing

The horse racing at Myriad Play is pretty standard. We’ve already discussed the fact that there are next to no promotions on any sports really. The actual odds for horse racing are quite good, but there’s no BOG (Best Odds Guaranteed), which is a bit of a let down. It’s also actually quite hard to find horse racing on the site, as it’s housed on the right-hand side, and not listed in the main list of sports. On the plus side there are races beyond the UK and Ireland, with meets in Italy and Panama, among other places, listed today. This could definitely be better, and you can see how they compare to our top 10 best betting sites for BOG.

Myriad Play US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available. We’ll check out the major leagues, but also look into the sports further down the pyramid and, as well as across the globe.

American Football Betting

Frustratingly, it’s very difficult to find the spread for individual football games. This is the absolute go-to for betting on American football, and provides an idea of how bookies view the match up. When you see the event (a specific game) it only lists the winner and total. This is better than just displaying the result market, which some do, but what it really should show is three markets: spread, total and moneyline (result). You can see these once you click through, but it’s not how bettors on these sports bet, and they list a number of different spreads all at the same time – it all feels a little off. The good news is that there are absolutely loads of markets here, including next season’s outrights and NFL Draft markets, which is great to have. It’s worth checking out our best NFL betting sites to see how Myriad Play compares.

Basketball Betting

Myriad Play has a brilliant selection of basketball leagues to bet on, there are hundreds and hundreds of competitions. There’s obviously the NBA, but Myriad Play covers a wide range of EuroLeague and domestic world competitions, including competitions in Colombia, Tunisia, New Zealand and Estonia, among others. There are also plenty of markets per game, with game, team and player markets covered impressively.

Baseball Betting

Myriad Play obviously covers the MLB, but they also have markets for the Mexican and Korean leagues. The markets, and the odds, especially on the outrights, look excellent. The MLB season is well underway and there are loads of things to bet on, including individual awards, as well as all the usual game markets. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.

Ice Hockey Betting

The NHL takes up the bulk of space here, as expected. But there are also some Finnish, Australian, and German fixtures included, among others. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there are loads of markets listed – more than pretty much anywhere else. For the smaller leagues that reduces a bit more, which is understandable. Overall, I’m struggling to think of any other bookies that have as many markets per game, apart from other Aspire brands.

Myriad Play Greyhound Betting

This isn’t great, and I’d be surprised if any big greyhound bettors are coming to Myriad Play. There are some odds for the English Greyhound Derby and that’s it. There’s obviously no Best Odds Guaranteed, but there are quite a few different tracks across the UK with races on today, let alone abroad, and none are featured here. It’s obviously a conscious decision to not attack greyhound racing properly, because it doesn't match the effort across a lot of the other sports.

Myriad Play Darts Betting

By Matt Edgar, professional darts player – Myriad Play does some things well, and some not so well, compared to other darts betting sites in the UK. The outrights on future events are great, but once you click through to the match ups the number of markets drops quite a lot, and I can’t stack any bets within that. Maybe they increase the market number and variety closer to the time of the match, but I’d definitely like to see more earlier on.

Myriad Play Snooker Betting

By Steve Madgwick - As with the best snooker betting sites, there are markets for a few different tournaments, including the World Championships and the Champions League. At the time of the review we’re in the middle of the Champions League, which I can’t live stream unfortunately, but I do like the amount of markets per game that they offer, and generally the odds are decent.

Myriad Play Rugby Betting (Union & League)

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - This is pretty good, overall. Union and League are split into different categories which, I think, makes sense. For both, there is pretty much every competition that you’d want to be included here, which is brilliant. The only omission to that is the Japanese domestic league, but that’s being very nit-picky, because overall the coverage of competitions is fantastic. What lets it down, however, and seems at odds with other sports, is market depth per game isn’t great. See how they compare to our best rugby betting sites.

Myriad Play Cricket Betting

By James Banting - This is pretty nice because Myriad Play offers all the competitions that I’d expect to see, plus a couple of extras that I wasn’t with some domestic events and leagues all over the globe. I also really like how many markets are available here for each game, assuming it’s not miles away in the future before teams are announced etc. For those that are a bit of a way off, there are still some good futures and antepost markets to take advantage of, so overall I’m pretty happy with the cricket betting here.

Myriad Play Tennis Betting

By James Banting - At the time of review their tennis section has 286 different tennis markets to bet on, which is fantastic. These games obviously cover the world, with the Grand Slams right down to smaller Challenger events. The odds are good, and there’s plenty of markets, but I’d like to see more in-play markets. There’s no live streaming, but the stats that feature are pretty good. See if they make it into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.

Myriad Play Golf Betting

By James Banting - Myriad Play’s golf offering is about par for the course I reckon. There are futures markets on all the majors (although no Ryder Cup stuff), and there is a selection, around six or seven, of upcoming tournaments of varying importance. Yes, you’ll find a bit more at some other bookies – and it’s worth checking our best golf betting sites to see how Myriad Play compares – but generally this is fine.

Myriad Play Motorsports Betting

By Andy Powell - The motor sports here are okay. Everything is it’s own thing, rather than housed under a “motor sports” banner, but I can see Formula 1, obviously, on top of Speedway and Indy racing. There’s nothing in the way of bikes, such as MotoGP, or any NASCAR, which is a little annoying, especially when something as niche as stock car racing is included. Overall I am impressed with the detail in the Formula 1 markets, and if I ever choose to make a stock car bet I know where to come.

Myriad Play Boxing Betting

By Frank Monkhouse former professional boxer - There’s plenty of boxing to get stuck into here, and the markets look dependent on how far away the actual fight is. Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have an okay offering, whereas the further away they get the less markets on offer. That’s understandable, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away, but I would definitely like more options for big bouts this weekend, and that’s definitely limited based on my experience with Myriad Play.

Myriad Play Other Sports Betting

Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is a massive market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG.

Other Sports at Myriad Play 🌍🏀🏐🚴🎮

Myriad Play offers diverse betting options: handball 🏆, volleyball 🏐, cycling 🚴, Aussie rules 🏉, and esports 🎮. Explore global matches, detailed stats, and infinite markets.

Myriad Play offers extensive betting options for Handball, volleyball, cycling, AFL betting, and esports. Handball includes global competitions; volleyball, covers European Championships and various tournaments; cycling features future tours and current races; AFL betting has comprehensive stats and esports offers all major games like League of Legends and CS:GO.

Political Betting

By Nigel Skinner - Myriad Play has its political betting under “Specials”. The political betting is okay, but a bit limited in parts. This is essentially split into UK and US politics, with a decent amount on the General Election, next party leaders and size of majority, and there is a similar offering for the US, but there is nothing from anywhere else around the globe.

Entertainment and Specials Betting

Myriad Play offers no Entertainment betting at the time of writing.

Casino

Myriad Play does have casino, which is incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.

Myriad Play Account Opening Process

A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen Myriad Play has their “Register” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

As I mentioned above, Myriad Play has no app. This is par for the course when considering most Aspire bookie platforms, but not all. And, as already discussed, the apps that they do have are really good, so not having one here is frustrating. Anyway, the navigation on the mobile version is definitely better than the desktop version as I still have an issue locating certain things and going back to pages that I was previously on. Overall it’s pretty good, but there’s definitely a few aspects that could be improved.

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to Myriad Play I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed.

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the  left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like Myriad Play has got this part nailed.

Responsible Gambling Features

You can set your deposit limit while you’re signing up; long before you’ve got close to actually making a bet.
