2027 Maghull Novices' Chase Preview

The Maghull Novices Chase is open to runners aged five or older who came into the season having not won over fences, making them novices. It is run at the Aintree racecourse in April during the Grand National meeting.

This Grade 1 is run over a distance of just shy of two miles, with runners having to contend with twelve fences. Runners who competed in the Arkle at Cheltenham tend to come to this race.
