OLBG announce new partnership with Bloodstock agent Ed Bailey

Online Betting Guide, OLBG, is excited to announce a new partnership with Bloodstock agent Ed Bailey.

Bailey grew up on his family farm in Herefordshire and since 2019, has been attending National Hunt Sales in the UK, Ireland and France as well as sourcing horses privately. His grounds at Upton Court Stables extend to 100 acres where he and his team look after horses on holidays or recovering from injuries, alongside raising youngstock and caring for broodmares. His work consists of advising or assisting with trading, valuations, mating plans, pin hooking and race planning.

OLBG are a long-established brand who for 22 years have been focused on growing a community of online betting enthusiasts in the UK, with a particularly strong group of horse racing tipsters. They have drawn plaudits for their activation of horse racing sponsorship such as The OLBG Mares Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and more recently their work with Harry Derham Racing. They are excited about the opportunities that a partnership with Ed Bailey brings.

As part of the partnership, Bailey will be working with OLBG to create content for their community on areas including breeding, buying and raising horses.

Richard Moffat, CEO at OLBG commented:

“I’m delighted to welcome Ed Bailey Bloodstock into the family of OLBG racing partnerships.

Ed works closely with Harry Derham Racing for whom OLBG are yard sponsors and has been helping us with acquiring horses to run for The OLBG Racing Club.

We believe that fans of national hunt racing will gain more enjoyment from the sport they love if they can improve their understanding of all aspects of it. Ed is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to breeding, buying and raising horses and we are looking forward to learning lots from him.”

Ed attends National Hunt Sales in the UK, Ireland and France as well as sourcing horses privately. He has enjoyed much success including purchasing Grade 1 winner Good Land and Aintree Foxhunters winner Famous Clairmont.

His beautiful grounds at Upton Court Stables in Herefordshire extend to 100 acres where he and his team look after horses on holidays or recovering from injuries alongside raising youngstock and caring for broodmares. His team also prepares horses for the sales and pre-trains them for life at a national hunt yard.

Alongside the growth of Harry Derham Racing, Ed’s business has flourished in recent years and he has big plans for the future. OLBG are looking forward to following and supporting Ed and his team on their exciting journey.”

Ed Bailey, Bloodstock agent and founder of Ed Bailey Bloodstock, said:

“I am delighted to welcome OLBG as a new partner at Ed Bailey Bloodstock (EBB). This partnership comes at a really pivotal moment for EBB following our most successful season yet with over 60 winners bought for a number of different clients.

“I have worked indirectly with OLBG over the past 18 months through my shared work with Harry Derham who continues to make great waves as a trainer, and am completely aligned with their mission to help more people learn about the lives of racehorses and those who care for them, so it’s great to welcome them to the EBB team.

“I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience in bloodstock with the OLBG team over the coming year, for what I am sure will be another killer season. Both myself and Harry have similar unrelenting determination and ambition to source and train champions in the national hunt sphere and I look forward to sharing that journey with OLBG.”
