Full MagicRed Sports Bookmaker Review
It’s obvious that this is a developing product, and although there are some features missing, I definitely get the feeling that improvements are coming. There are a few little bits (icons that don’t load, or events that exist, but need more markets) that feel like they are about to be added or improved, and I’d be intrigued on coming back in a year, maybe less, to determine whether this has actually happened.
To make an impact MagicRed Sports needs to have longer odds, at least longer odds in a few specific markets, or simply up the promotions. We’ve reviewed a few new bookies who don’t have great odds, but loads of promotions, offers and odds boosts. Alternatively, they have hardly any promotions but fantastic odds. Here, there is neither. That said, it’s a solid sportsbook without the frills.
MagicRed Sports Review Summary
Overall, MagicRed Sports is a decent, solid betting option compared to other UK sportsbooks
Advantages and Disadvantages
All explained in greater detail in this review, these pros and cons allow users to scan and understand where MagicRed's strengths lie quickly.
Pros
- Clean site design
- Incredible basketball markets
- Market-leading range of sports covered
Cons
- Very little in the way of promotions
Who are MagicRed Sports?
MagicRed utilises an Aspire Global platform, launching in 2023 and is registered through the AG Communications Ltd name, along with its casino. The sportsbook covers a huge range of sports, from the popular to very niche.
First Impression of MagicRed Sports
My First Impressions
I signed up on the desktop version of MagicRed Sports, but also used the mobile version to compare. There is currently no MagicRed Sports app to download, however. MagicRed Sports looks to be decent. There’s a lot going on the homepage, but everything appears how you’d like it. A quick scan across the page, plus navigating to a few different sections is an easy process, all moving along quite sleekly.
It’s important to note that there’s a lot of markets displayed per event, and that’s just on the homepage, on the main menu, there’s no “esports”, with individual games given their own tabs. Lastly, the range in sports offered looks enormous, with things like floorball and winter sports included.

Live Betting
Here in the UK on a weekday morning there should be some good in-play betting options, and this doesn’t disappoint.
There’s the expected selection of football, basketball, tennis and other major betting sports, but also some smaller events such as some esports, Counter Strike for example. While there isn’t a massive appetite for these markets, it’s nice to see these smaller markets covered.
The in-play part of the site is simple to find, right next to the main sports menu, and it brings up plenty of live betting options. The football matches, in particular, have plenty of markets and there is a small selection of statistics. A lot of markets have a stats icon, but this doesn’t load anything, which leads me to believe that’ll be implemented in the future.
See if they make it into our best bookmakers for in-play betting.

Live Streaming
MagicRed doesn’t offer any live streaming at the time of this review.
Betting Odds
After looking across other bookmakers in the UK, plus going through some comparison sites, it seems as though that the odds offered at MagicRed are fairly competitive. We checked football, tennis and cricket for in-play odds, plus horse racing, basketball and rugby for pre-match and ante post odds. They’re generally pretty good and because they cover sports like floorball and stock car racing, will have odds on events that other bookies simply don’t cover at all.
Also, remember that it is always worth checking alternative betting options, including best spread betting sites and betting exchange sites, depending on who you are as a bettor.
Betting App or Mobile Site?
There is no MagicRed app. The mobile version is nearly identical to the desktop version of the site. One thing I really like is the main sports menu is an additional menu bar (I can’t see anything like this on desktop) of news-relevant tournaments. So right now there is the Super Bowl, the Six Nations, AFCON, the Premier League and a few others. There’s no separation of sports, just the most relevant right now, and I assume this updates automatically. It’s a great little feature.
Compare to the best betting apps in the country.
⚽ Football Betting
MagicRed offers a very broad range of football markets, with odds that are competitive. There’s obviously the major leagues and competitions, but bettors can also find domestic leagues as varied as Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and Costa Rica. There is a good range, but it wouldn’t be right up with the very best. There are also some decent promotions running that are football-specific. We rank every bookie, at every sport, and MagicRed is just a bit off our best football betting sites in the UK, but it’s still very good.
Bet Builder
MagicRed has a bet builder function, and it’s fine, but could be improved if I’m being totally honest. I’d say it’s about mid-level, and would definitely be better if there were some more markets to add into individual bet builders. That said, these may increase the closer we get to kick-off for each game.
Bonuses
The bonuses at MagicRed are limited. There is a welcome bonus to take advantage of, but it stops there after that. So that means no promotions for returning, loyal customers which is a huge miss.
Cash Out
Cash out is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. MagicRed have done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.
🏇 Horse Racing
MagicRed’s horse racing offering is fine. We’ve already highlighted the fact that there are no promotions for horse racing betting. The actual odds are pretty good, but there’s no BOG (Best Odds Guaranteed), which is a bit of a let down. I’m not convinced that they cover all UK meets either, because today there are three meets on in the UK (Market Rasen, Taunton and Wolverhampton), but only two are listed here, which does seem a bit odd. See how they compare to our top 10 best betting sites for BOG.

🇺🇸 US Sports Betting
A full range of American Sports is available, including all the major leagues, plus college games and the same sports across the globe.
🏈 American Football Betting
I love how many markets are displayed on the main American football section. Obviously there is the NFL, but seeing markets for the winner of the Sun Belt Conference, as well as some MAC outrights, in college football shows that they should have plenty covered.
Unfortunately, it actually gets a bit messy when I look for the spread in tonight’s NFL prime time game. That should be the first thing you see for a fixture, and although they have the moneyline and total shown, even when you click into the game itself and select “spread” it shows you all spread options and not the actual game line. There’s actually a load of markets to bet on, with bet builder available, but it does all start feeling a bit messy and confused.
It’s worth checking out our best NFL betting sites to see how MagicRed Sports compares overall.

🏀 Basketball Betting
There is a massive array of leagues on offer at MagicRed Sports. Of course there is the NBA, and some international games, also. But on top of that, the sheer list of domestic leagues covered around the world is very impressive. We’re talking big ones like Greece, Spain, Italy and Australia, but also El Salvador, Slovenia, Japan and more. I don’t think I’ve ever seen more domestic basketball leagues covered on any other sportsbook. You can also compare MagicRed to the best basketball betting sites.
⚾ Baseball Betting
MagicRed obviously covers the MLB, but they also have markets for the Japanese and South Korean leagues. The markets, and the odds, especially on the outrights, look really good. The MLB season hasn’t quite kicked off at the time of writing, but there is still a healthy amount of things to bet on, such as individual awards and the like. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.
🏒 Ice Hockey Betting
The NHL takes up the bulk of space here, as expected. But there are also some Finnish, Swiss, and German fixtures included, among others. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there are loads of markets listed – more than pretty much anywhere else. For the smaller leagues that reduces a bit more, which is understandable. Overall, I think this is better than most from MagicRed.
🐕 Greyhound Betting
MagicRed has a pretty standard greyhound section within its library. There’s the day’s meets, but also some ante post stuff. There isn’t a great deal beyond that, plus there is no live streaming or Best Odds Guaranteed, so it wouldn’t surprise me if greyhound fans look elsewhere. It’s pretty solid, without being anything more than that, and a bit off the best greyhound betting sites.
🎯 Darts Betting
Matthew Edgar
Darts Editor and WDF Professional
In terms of darts betting sites in the UK, MagicRed Sports is solid. There are markets for the PDC World Championships, but only outrights. That aside, there markets for the Modus Super Series and Players Championship. I’d like to see more markets within each game, however.

Snooker Betting
Steve Madgwick
Editor-In-Chief
I’m always on the lookout for great snooker betting sites. At the time of writing there are markets just for the World Championships, Masters and UK Championship, and each of these are just outrights.
As with some of the other sports, it’s clear that MagicRed Sports only covers the major events in a lot of sports. I’d hope that they increase the amount of markets for the tournaments that they do cover when it gets closer to the time, but it’s all pretty limited at the moment.

🏉 Rugby Betting (Union & League)
By Luke Bradshaw Lee - Event coverage is pretty good, with domestic games in England, Wales, France and New Zealand all featured, as well as some odds on next year’s Six Nations and European Rugby Championship. Likewise, with rugby league there is a small spattering of matches, but I’d definitely want more market options for said games.
There does need to be more markets per match, but the odds that they do have are very good when compared to our best Rugby betting sites.

🏏 Cricket Betting
James Banting
Tipster Competition Assistant
This is pretty nice because MagicRed offers all the competitions that I’d expect to see, plus some more in addition to that – not everywhere covers the Oman D10 League, for example. I also love how many markets are available here for each game, assuming it’s not miles away in the future before teams are announced etc.
We list the 10 best cricket betting sites here.
🎾 Tennis Betting
By James Banting - The tennis betting at MagicRed Sports is pretty good. There are all the majors listed for next year, with outrights offered on all, and for upcoming matches there is a decent selection of ATP matches, as well as Challenger Series matches across the world. It also goes down to ITF level, which is great to see. The odds are decent. Scanning the ATP matches over the next couple of days I can definitely get more value here than most bookies.

🏌️ Golf Betting
By James Banting - I’d like to see greater event coverage to be honest. Aside from the Ryder Cup and the four Majors, all of which are being played next year, there aren’t any other tournaments listed. There are definitely some LIV Golf Events that I’d expect to see, and a number of smaller events – Andalucia Masters, BMW Ladies Championship, plus a few more. That said, the odds are better than most so I’ll keep MagicRed Sports in mind when the majors roll around. It’s worth checking our best golf betting sites to see how MagicRed compares – but generally this is fine.
🏎️ Motorsports Betting
Andy Powell
Content Editor
Unfortunately, there is only Formula 1 or MotoGP listed at MagicRed Sports. That means no Speedway, Superbikes, or Nascar. I’d like to see more market depth for the Grand Prix – they only have winner, even for this week’s event, which is pretty disappointing to be honest.

🥊 Boxing Betting
Frank Monkhouse
Boxing Editor
There’s lots of boxing bouts to get stuck into here, and the markets look dependent on timings. Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have an okay offering, whereas the further away they get the less markets on offer. That’s understandable, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away, but I would definitely like more options for big bouts this weekend, and that’s definitely limited based on my experience with MagicRed.

Other Sports Betting
Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is still a large enough market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s dig in a bit further.
MagicRed offers extensive betting options for handball, volleyball, cycling, AFL betting, and esports. Handball includes global competitions; volleyball, covers European Championships and various tournaments; cycling features future tours and current races; AFL betting has comprehensive stats and esports offers all major games like League of Legends and CS:GO.

🗳️ Political Betting
MagicRed houses its political betting under “Specials”, along with Entertainment. The political betting is fine, maybe a little limited perhaps. There are some US Presidential markets, understandably, and odds on the next Mayor of London, but it fizzles out after that. I’m surprised that there’s nothing in the way of the UK General Election, or next Prime Minister odds, but for US stuff it’s not bad.

🎭 Entertainment and Specials Betting
This is a bit basic from MagicRed, with some music, award ceremonies and TV programmes covered. It’s tricky trying to work out what determines the offering because things like The Oscars and BAFTAs make sense, but Big Brother Brazil and Festival Di SanRemo seem a little out of place.
Compare to the best entertainment betting sites.
Casino
MagicRed does have casino. Despite the name of the brand, it's incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.
You can also check out OLBG’s latest addition; our Best Bingo Sites. All of which are, obviously, sites fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
Account Opening Process
A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen MagicRed has their “Join Now” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.
Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]
I’m surprised that there is no app, because other Aspire Global brands have apps that work well and that I like. That said, I do like the user experience of MagicRed, and I think the same for their other sportsbooks that use the same interface. It can take a little getting used to – especially the way the menu drops down, rather than takes you through to another page, but once you get the hang of it I think it works really well, and does a great job of conveying what is available very quickly.
Placing a bet
This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to MagicRed I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed.
Managing your account
As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like MagicRed has got this part nailed.
MagicRed Responsible Gambling Features
As with all online betting companies, responsible gambling should be and will be an essential element of the service provided.
Expect KYC procedures and document supply as a matter-of-course, to confirm your account after you have deposited a certain level of funds and in the event of any large wins.
You can set limits for yourself across depositing options and daily staking options too, so you can set your levels and keep control of your gambling.
Expect MagicRed to contact you via your preferred communication method if there are suspicious activities on your account. This protects your account from being accessed by someone other than you and ensures you control your gambling activity. MagicRed have a legal obligation to question your activity if they believe it to be suspicious.
Responsible Gambling
MagicRed Sports has a full suite of responsible gambling tools for your protection and may request further identification after certain depositing levels are exceeded or stakes are increased quickly.
