We also have a section that looks at the Kentucky Oaks Trend Analysis. With the field now finalised, we have the Kentucky Oaks Trend Shortlist, which is created using the listed trends.

These are the top three quickest-run Kentucky Oaks over the last 10 renewals:

  1. Shedaresthedevil (1:48.28) in 2020
  2. Malathaat (1:48.99) in 2021
  3. Monomoy Girl (1:49.13) in 2018

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 10 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Kentucky Oaks next time out, then you would have backed a total of 4 winners. Backing all 10 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of -0.62. Ahead of the 2025 Kentucky Oaks, why not head over to the racing predictions for tips on other races today?

The runner that holds the record over the past 10 renewals for the slowest time in the race was set in the 2017 renewal when Abel Tasman from Bob Baffert under the guidance of Mike E Smith, won in a time of 1:51.62, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, Shedaresthedevil, trained by Brad H Cox and ridden by Florent Geroux set the quickest time of 1:48.28 in the 2020 renewal.

What the expert says...
The Ashland Stakes has been a decent prep race. Lovely Maria (2015), Cathryn Sophia (2016), Monomoy Girl (2018), and Malathaat (2021) all ran in it on their way to this race. Three of those did the double; La Cara won the 2025 Ashland Stakes.
