2025 Great Yorkshire Chase Preview

The Great Yorkshire Chase is run at the Doncaster racecourse in late January. The race is a handicap chase that is run over three miles in which the runners will face eighteen fences.

Established in 1948, there has only ever been one multiple winner of the race when Ziga Boy won it back-to-back in 2016 & 2017.

For sponsorship purposes, the race in 2025 renewal of the Great Yorkshire Chase will hold the title of 'Virgin Bet Great Yorkshire Handicap Chase'.
