How competitive is the Flying Childers Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2013 when the race had an over-round of 110%. The race in 2017 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 124%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Flying Childers Stakes, the over-round has been 115%, which means the bookie expects to pay out £100 for every £115 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2025 Flying Childers Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Flying Childers Stakes Trend Analysis. With the field now finalised, we have the Flying Childers Stakes Trend Shortlist, which is created using the listed trends.

These are the top three quickest-run Flying Childers Stakes races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Gutaifan (58.04) in 2015
  2. Sand Vixen (58.10) in 2009
  3. Beacon (58.36) in 2014

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Flying Childers Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 1 winner. Backing all 18 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of -13.80. Before placing your bet on the 2025 Flying Childers Stakes, see which other runners today are being backed on the racing predictions page.

Over the last 20 renewals, it was Gutaifan, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Frankie Dettori, who set the fastest winning time in the Flying Childers Stakes. That runner won the race in a time of 58.04 in 2015. At the other end of the scale, it was the combination of trainer Richard Hannon Snr and jockey Ryan Moore with Godfrey Street who set the slowest winning time; the race-winning time was 1:02.43 in the 2005 renewal.

What the expert says...
Four of the six winners (2019-24) went on to run in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint next time out, Ubettabelieveit (2020) went on to place 3rd, whilst Big Evs (2023) went on to win in the US.
