How competitive is the Solonaway Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2008 when the race had an over-round of 111%. The race in 2006 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 132%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Solonaway Stakes, the over-round has been 119%, which means the bookie expects to pay out £100 for every £119 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Solonaway Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Solonaway Stakes Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Solonaway Stakes races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Ivan Denisovich (1:36.20) in 2006
  2. Jumbajukiba (1:36.20) in 2007
  3. Bow Creek (1:37.63) in 2014

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Solonaway Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 2 winners. Backing all 19 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of -7.10. Remember to bookmark the racing tips page to access the OLBG racing picks easily daily.

The runner that holds the record over the past 20 renewals for the slowest time in the race was set in the 2008 renewal when Jumbajukiba from Mrs John Harrington under the guidance of Fran Berry, won in a time of 1:49.61, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, Ivan Denisovich, trained by A P O'Brien and ridden by Kieren Fallon set the quickest time of 1:36.20 in the 2006 renewal.

What the expert says...
A run in England before coming here seems to be more favourable than a run in Ireland, from the last thirteen winners, nine of those ran in England last time out, four at Glorious Goodwood and four at the York Ebor Festival.
