How competitive is the Bobbyjo Chase market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2009 when the race had an over-round of 108%. The race in 2010 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 128%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Bobbyjo Chase, the over-round has been 114%, which means the bookie expects to pay out ÂŁ100 for every ÂŁ114 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Bobbyjo Chase Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Bobbyjo Chase Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Bobbyjo Chase races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Rathvinden (6:30.70) in 2019
  2. The Midnight Club (6:47.40) in 2011
  3. Any Second Now (6:48.50) in 2022

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Bobbyjo Chase next time out, then you would have backed a total of 5 winners. Backing all 19 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of +30.80. Before placing your bet on the 2026 Bobbyjo Chase, see which other runners today are being backed on the racing predictions page.

The runner that holds the record over the past 20 renewals for the slowest time in the race was set in the 2016 renewal when Boston Bob from W P Mullins under the guidance of R Walsh, won in a time of 7:21.30, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, Rathvinden, trained by W P Mullins and ridden by Paul Townend set the quickest time of 6:30.70 in the 2019 renewal.

What the expert says...
Considering this race was only established in 2003, Willie Mullins has a ridiculous record in it with a total of fourteen wins, including in nine of the last ten renewals. Ted Walsh in 2022 was the only person to stop him during that time.
