How competitive is the Dubai Turf market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2015, when the race had an over-round of 116%. The race in 2008 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 129%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Dubai Turf, the over-round has been 123%, which means the bookie expects to pay out Β£100 for every Β£123 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Dubai Turf Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal. We also have a section that looks at the Dubai Turf Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Dubai Turf races over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Just A Way (1:45.52) in 2014
  2. Panthalassa (1:45.77) in 2022
  3. Lord North (1:45.77) in 2022

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Dubai Turf next time out, then you would have backed a total of 3 winners. Backing all 21 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of -14.46. Ahead of the 2026 Dubai Turf, why not head over to the racing predictions for tips on other races today?

Over the last 20 renewals, it was Just A Way, trained by Naosuke Sugai and ridden by Yuichi Fukunaga, who set the fastest winning time in the Dubai Turf. That runner won the race in a time of 1:45.52 in 2014. At the other end of the scale, it was the combination of trainer A R Al Rayhi and jockey Royston Ffrench with Al Shemali who set the slowest winning time; the race-winning time was 1:50.84 in the 2010 renewal.

What the expert says...
The last five winners ran in either the UK (x3) or Japan (x2) last time out. Two of those (2022 & 2023) ran in the Winter Derby at Lingfield, and the 2014, 2016, 2017 & 2022 winners ran in the Nakayama Kinen in Japan. (The 2022 race was a dead-heat)
