Bookies make it 7/2 that Shirley Ballas is replaced as Strictly Come Dancing's head judge

Novelty markets are now available for 2024 with bookmakers offering betting odds on a variety of different outcomes including Strictly Come Dancing.

Betting odds from Star Sports at the start of the year made it 7/2 that Shirley Ballas is replaced as head judge on this year's series of Strictly.

Ballas has been head judge since September 2017 when she joined the show to replace Len Goodman at the top of the panel.

More than 6 years on, bookies now say there's a 22% chance that Ballas is replaced as head judge with a change in the judging panel on the show potentially on the cards.

December also saw odds offered by other bookies that Anton du Beke is replaced as a judge on the show with those odds at 4/1 that he leaves the show too.

Ellie Leach won the 2023 series of Strictly

2023's series of Strictly Come Dancing came to an end last month with former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach winning the show.

Leach was a longtime favourite to win the show with bookies putting her at the top of the betting odds on a week-by-week basis.

Layton Williams and Bobby Brazier came up against Leach in the final but another strong performance by the actress saw her crowned the winner by voters.

The last four winners of the show have been 2 male and 2 female with the likelihood of either pretty much even.

Bet365 have odds up for the 2024 edition of the show with a 54.5% chance of either a male of female winner winning the show.
