2025 Racing Post Novice Chase Preview

Scheduled to take place in December of each year at the Leopardstown Racecourse is the Racing Post Novice Chase. This Grade 1 sees the novice chasers face a total of eleven fences during the two miles and one furlong trip. The race features during the Christmas Festival, with it taking place on Boxing Day or Saint Stephen's Day in Ireland.

The race was originally axed after the 2023 renewal and was not run in 2024; however, for the 2025 schedule, the race was reinstated.
