Bookies give odds for who the winning professional will be on this year's series of Strictly
Betting remains available for who the winning professional on this year's Strictly Come Dancing will be with a whole host of potential winners on the show with more than 17 professionals in the market.
UK Betting Sites put former winner Giovanni Pernice as the outright favourite in the winning professional market just 2 years on from an emotional win with Rose Ayling-Ellis.
Last year's series saw him in an all-male partnership with Richie Anderson but that couple were eliminated in week 3 and Pernice will be hoping to have a better performance this year if he is picked as a professional.
Betway have him as the 8/1 favourite in the betting market to win the show just ahead of popular dancer Johannes Radebe who is second favourite at 9/1.
Strictly Winning Professional 2023 | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Giovanni Pernice | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Johannes Radebe | 9/1 | 10.0% |
Dianne Buswell | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Lauren Oakley | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Gorka Marquez | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Amy Dowden remains determined to be on the show after cancer diagnosis
Strictly professional Amy Dowden gave fans a further update following her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this year with hopes of returning to Strictly.
Dowden told the Daily Mirror, “I’m visualising myself on that Strictly dance floor. Just being back in the ballroom with the live audience, the adrenalin and the atmosphere."
BBC bosses have long said that the door is open for Dowden to return and her popularity on the show will make sure that it happens.
Former Love Island star Zara McDermott reportedly first celebrity signed up this year
Various reports on Tuesday spoke about the first celebrity that will be appearing on this year's Strictly Come Dancing with the Daily Mail confirming their identity.
Former Love Island star Zara McDermott will become the first ever Love Island contestant to appear on the show with talks held with show producers 'for weeks'.
Zara, 26, is one of the BBC's rising stars with various documentaries made by the influencer and her 1.7m Instagram followers will be keen to see how she does on the Strictly ballroom.
