2025 Victoria Derby Preview
Established in 1855 and scheduled to take place in late October or early November of each year at the Flemington racecourse is the Victoria Derby, this Group 1 race is the feature race on the opening day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, it features on the Saturday before Tuesday's Melbourne Cup. This race like its equivalents in the UK is open to runners aged three years old and is run over a distance of 2,500m.
