Scheduled to take place in January of each year at the Sha Tin Racecourse is the Hong Kong Stewards Cup, this Group One serves as the opening leg of the Hong Kong Triple Crown with the Hong Kong Gold Cup and the Champions & Chater Cup completing the series.

Established in 1954, the Hong Kong Stewards Cup is open to runners aged three or older and is contested on the turf over a distance of a mile.
