What the expert says...
The route for the winner of the Premier Kelso Hurdle is usually the Aintree Festival, twelve of the sixteen winners between 2005 & 2022 headed to Aintree, however, with very limited success. Six have gone on to run in the Mersey Novices Hurdle and only My Drogo (2021) managed to pick up a win, in fact, that runner is the only runner of those who went to Aintree who picked up a win, the rest were beaten.
