Ran on the same day as the Betfair Chase in November of each year at the Haydock racecourse is the Betfair Stayers Handicap Hurdle, a race which is open to runners who are aged four or older and is run over a trip of three miles and a half a furlong.

The race is now run over standard hurdles but between 2007-2016 this race had a more French feel with the use of fixed brush hurdles, in 2011 the race was upgraded to Grade 3 status.
