  • Spanish giants Real Madrid lead the European chase if the Norwegian rejects an EPL move.

£100 Million+ for the quickest player to reach 20 Champions League goals
Erling Haaland reported to be valued at over £100 million by his current club Borussia Dortmund.

Reports suggest Norwegian International striker Erling Braut Haaland has refused to commit his future to current club Borussia Dortmund despite their Champions League qualification.

Erling Haaland The prolific marksman turns 21 years old on 21st July 2021 and has hit 40 Bundesliga goals in just 43 appearances in two seasons at Borussia Dortmund following his move from Austrian Bundesliga side RB Salzburg, making him one of the hottest properties in European club football.

Haaland's 27 Bundesliga goals from 28 appearances in the 2020/21 season helped Borussia Dortmund to a 3rd place finish and his goal tally was bettered only by Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski (41 goals), the German Bundesliga's five time Golden Boot winner (four in the last five seasons), and RB Leipzig's Andre Silva (28 goals).

With the possibility of Erling Haaland looking to ply his trade elsewhere this has unsurprisingly caused a scurry of European football giants with the cash to splash leading the chase to sign the quickest player to hit 20 Champions League goals.

Player Number of games to reach 20 UCL goals
Erling Braut Haaland 14
Harry Kane 24
Alessandro Del Piero 26
Ruud van Nistelrooy 27
Filippo Inzaghi 28

Bookmakers have priced up the clubs considered to be in the hunt for the Norwegian International with the current UCL champions Chelsea favourites amid reports they are ready to table a massive £150m deal for the player quickly making his name at the highest level.

Man City are next on the bookmakers odds list to win the race for Haaland's goal scoring exploits however they are also favourites to sign unsettled Tottenham striker Harry Kane and whether they will sign both remains to be seen.

With two of the world's current top strikers attracting transfer interest, if any deal is struck for Haaland or (Harry Kane) then it will almost certainly break the current transfer record involving an English club (if Haaland favours the EPL) which was set in 2018 by Barcelona paying Liverpool 145 million euros (currently around £122 million) for Brazilian Phillipe Coutinho.

Real Madrid head the list of top clubs abroad if Haaland's destination is not the EPL, however La Liga are reportedly keen for Real to reduce their wage bill and the Spanish club would possibly look to offload some of their reported high earners like Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard before making a move for Haaland.

The following Erling Haaland next club odds (decimal) are available.
