The Dutch darts player has had a couple of semi-finals in the Players Championship over the last month. I do think he will look at his draw and think he can beat the likes of Wattimena, Springer, Chisnall, and Schindler to reach the semi-finals at least. I think Noppert looks a very good bet to go all the way to the final in this European Tour event.

Jonny Clayton reached Finals Night at the Premier League and has been playing well on the floor. He produced some great darts for Wales last week at the World Cup of Darts. I do think the Welshman is going to be one of the favourites with neither Luke playing, so my tip is Jonny wins the title.

The American has won the US Open before and after winning the Houston Open recently and having top eight finishes in the RBC Heritage and Charles Schwab Challenge, I do think he can win a second major championship. Gary Woodland has the game for a big classical course in the US Open and I think he can have another good run in his national open.

Tied 4th at the Memorial Tournament, and the American has been playing very well. He was 7th at The Masters in April, and last year he was 7th in the U.S. Open, sadly finishing with a 78. I do think Sam Burns is now ready to become a major champion, and I think he wins the U.S. Open.
Tyrrell Hatton

The Englishman won the LIV Golf Andalucía a few weeks ago. In the first major of the year he was tied for third at The Masters Tournament. Last year he was 4th in the US Open, and I do think Hatton is ready to become a major champion.
Wyndham Clark

The American has been top twelve in his last three tournaments and won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Wyndham Clark won two years ago at Pebble Beach, and he is a former U.S. Open champion, winning this major championship in 2023. I do think, on current form, you have to back Clark this week.

8th and 9th at the RBC Heritage and Cadillac Championship, and the American was top ten at the PGA Championship. The last few years, Kurt Kitayama has had a couple of top-ten finishes in majors, and I do think he can be one of the top Americans at this U.S. Open.

Canada have home advantage in all three of their group games in Toronto and Vancouver. Bosnia and Switzerland will be two tough teams to break down, but I do think if they beat Qatar and get results in the other two with home support behind them, the Canadians can top Group B as winners.

Brazil have Carlo Ancelotti as the manager, and I do think this is a group they will qualify from as winners. Scotland and Haiti should be no problem for the Brazilians, and they have beaten Morocco before in the World Cup. I think Group C will be won by Brazil.

Mexico have home advantage in all three group games, and I do think that will go a long way. Czech Republic, South Korea, and South Africa is a group they will fancy coming out of. I do think they open up with a win over South Africa, and they go on to top this group unbeaten.

Germany have won their last nine matches across their qualifying group and four friendlies. Curaçao should be an easy game to start, and I do think they will be better than both Ivory Coast and Ecuador. I think they will top Group E by a few points.

Sweden really struggled in qualifying. With Tunisia and Japan in this group, I do think the Dutch are going to top it. In the last World Cup they topped a group with Senegal, Ecuador, and Qatar. I think the Netherlands will top this Group F.

Spain have a nice group in the World Cup, and I do think they are going to easily beat Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia. Uruguay will be their toughest game, but they have never lost to them, and I think Spain will win Group H.

Portugal topped their qualifying group and their squad is stacked from top to bottom. Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, Mendes, Neves, and Vitinha from PSG. I do think Portugal are going to go a long way in this World Cup, and I think they will win Group K.

The Dutch have made eleven appearances in the World Cup and have reached the final three times in 1974, 1978, and most recently in 2010. I do think they have their best squad in some years right now, and they are also former European Champions. Since being runner-up in South Africa 2010, they were third in Brazil 2014 and a quarter-finalist in 2022 in Qatar. I think the Netherlands can make it to another World Cup final in 2026.
Portugal

Portugal reached the quarterfinals at the last World Cup in 2022 in Qatar. I do think the squad they have now could win a World Cup. They won the European Championship in 2016, and with this being Ronaldo's last dance and the memory of Diogo Jota, I think Portugal will become World Champions.

Twenty goals for Atlético Madrid in the season just gone over in Spain. I do think Álvarez is going to have a big World Cup. He scored four in the last World Cup and he had two in five goals in the Copa América, so I think another big tournament and Julián Álvarez will score goals to be the World Cup top goalscorer.

The Baltimore Orioles didn't have much luck last season with injuries, and I do think they will bounce back this season. First and second in the East the two years before, and I think they are a bet in the American League this time around.

The British driver won the Drivers' Championship last season. The way he held off Piastri and Verstappen was impressive and will give Lando huge confidence. I do think Norris will embrace the title and what comes with being world champion, and I think he will regain his drivers' crown in 2026/2027.
