Gary Woodland has the game for a big classical course in the US Open and I think he can have another good run in his national open.

The Japanese golfer is a former Masters champion, and he has had some good finishes at the U.S. Open ??" most notably runner-up in 2017, sixth in 2024, and fourth in 2022. I do think Hideki Matsuyama could have another good major week.

Justin Rose is a former U.S. Open champion. In the two majors this year, he was 3rd at The Masters Tournament and 10th in the PGA Championship. He was also third in 2019 at the U.S. Open since winning it in 2013. I do think the English golfer is going to challenge again.

Tied 4th at the Memorial Tournament, and the American has been playing very well. He was 7th at The Masters in April, and last year he was 7th in the U.S. Open, sadly finishing with a 78. I do think Sam Burns is now ready to become a major champion, and I think he wins the U.S. Open.

The Englishman won the LIV Golf Andalucía a few weeks ago. In the first major of the year he was tied for third at The Masters Tournament. Last year he was 4th in the US Open, and I do think Hatton is ready to become a major champion.

Viktor Hovland was third last year at the US Open, and he has been knocking on the door in major championships. The Norwegian was third last week in the RBC Canadian Open, and I do think he is a challenger this week at the US Open.

The American has been top twelve in his last three tournaments and won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Wyndham Clark won two years ago at Pebble Beach, and he is a former U.S. Open champion, winning this major championship in 2023. I do think, on current form, you have to back Clark this week.

I do think they have their best squad in some years right now, and they are also former European Champions. Since being runner-up in South Africa 2010, they were third in Brazil 2014 and a quarter-finalist in 2022 in Qatar. I think the Netherlands can make it to another World Cup final in 2026.

Portugal reached the quarterfinals at the last World Cup in 2022 in Qatar. I do think the squad they have now could win a World Cup. They won the European Championship in 2016, and with this being Ronaldo's last dance and the memory of Diogo Jota, I think Portugal will become World Champions.
