Warda Jamila was an unfancied 12-1 when 4th of 6 not beaten far at Epsom first time out this season. Oisin Murphy takes over the ride and that race should have brought her on and she could win at Chester on her first visit.

Grey Cuban is 2 from 3 at Chester, with both wins over C&D last summer. Latterly beat subsequent two time handicap winner - and very progressive - More Thunder by 4.5L giving him 1lb and that rival is now rated 9lbs higher. Grey Cuban is 9lbs higher himself having won since at Doncaster but had excuses on his final start, beaten 50L when clearly out of sorts, and his reappearance on the AW was never going to show his best. Yard love to have winners at their local track and he still looks well handicapped here and in these conditions.

Wasn't beaten far when finishing just outside the places in fifth over today's trip at Doncaster in March when returning from almost seven months off and was beaten less than a length when finishing second over the same trip at Epsom seventeen days ago. Yard in good form recently. Should be involved at the finish.

The model I run suggests Qitaal can get the nose in front over the line first in this race. Qitaal steps out with the highest RPR of the field and goes out carrying the joint lowest weight. It is the only runner on this race card that is a prior course and distance winner and has a decent stall draw in stall no. 2.

ANDALEEP returns to this sphere looking pretty well handicapped and also tuned up after a couple of runs on the all-weather in 2023 (including an improved showing LTO). Everything about the mark, conditions, and grade looks manageable, so if this one continues the trajectory, there's a place in the offing.
