  Tonal’s looking like a solid type coming into this after a tidy win off 56 at Southwell. He’s now up 5 lb but still looks well treated. He’s proven around 7??'8f on the all??'weather and seems to be improving steadily, so there’s no reason he can’t be in the mix again off this new mark if things go smoothly in the run.

  Forseen got off the mark nicely at Bath, digging in to win by a neck off 63, and there’s every chance he can build on that now he’s found the groove. Handles the all??'weather fine, stays 8??'10f well, and the rise in the weights shouldn’t knock him out of contention if he runs to the same level.

  Akirra looked a cut above when bolting up by over 4 lengths in a weaker maiden here and clearly thrives over the minimum trip. She’s been consistent in similar setups and didn’t do much wrong on her nursery debut either. Might not be stacks of improvement left, but she brings solid form and a proven turn of foot that could carry her close again.

  Guinness Lad pulled too hard at Leicester and clearly needed that outing, so it’s easy to forgive the effort. He’d been in fair nick before that and tends to be seen to better effect when held up. Still looks effective at 10f and could bounce back with a smoother trip and a stronger pace to aim at.
