Al Loves Josie has been off the track for 286 days but this represents an easy comeback race for him with a drop in grade and provided he is ready to race he should win.

This is a very weak race but Carmelized met Classy Foe in June under similar terms when they finished second and fourth to True Buckpassing with around two lengths between them and no reason to think that Classy Foe can close the gap this time before the winning line.

Soul Seeker won this race last year under the same rider going full out from the start and rallying in the final furlong after being passed, he has dropped back to only two pounds above last years winning mark and should go well again drawn similarly to last year when low drawn horses filled the first three places on good going.

Trefor looks to be a big improver this year after being gelded last November at the end of his two year old season and even though his mark has been put up eleven pounds for winning his last two races in class 3 handicaps after finishing second and fourth in his first two races in class 2 three year old handicaps, he now looks ready to win a class 2 handicap against older horses.

Aalto has a three pound penalty for winning the Bunbury Cup over seven furlongs at Newmarket but was due to go up seven pounds so is four pounds well in here if he runs to the same level.

Even though Royal Rhyme was hampered when finishing just behind Alflaila in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot, Alflaila should confirm the form and may win this race for the second year running.
