Rachel Reeves is the 6/1 favourite to be the next Labour Leader

Keir Starmer's tough start to life as Prime Minister has continued in recent weeks and this has caused bookmakers to once again open the market up on who will be the next Labour Leader to replace him.

Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves is now the 6/1 favourite with betting sites to be the next leader of the Labour Party with the first outright favourite in a number of months.

Reeves will announce her Budget later this month which is expected to be massive in terms of it's political impact and highlight exactly how taxpayers will be affected.

The Chancellor has previously promised not to increase income tax, national insurance or VAT but she will be looking for other ways to raise more money.

BetVictor have Reeves as the 6/1 favourite to replace Starmer as the next Labour Leader, similar to how former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak went from Chancellor of the Exchequer to Conservative Leader.

Keir Starmer's donation row latest backlash since he became Prime Minister

Sir Keir Starmer has been engulfed in the latest row since taking over after being accused of receiving endless freebies since becoming Prime Minister.

Starmer has since paid back ÂŁ6,000 of gifts and hospitality following the row which has already seen massive question marks around his position in government.

The latest Prime Minister has yet to reach 100 days in charge and has already had several controversies including cutting the winter fuel payment for millions of pensioners.

Former favourite Andy Burnham has drifted right out in the market

Andy Burnham has previously long been favourite to be the next Labour Leader the latest markets have seen him drift massively to take over from Starmer next.

Burnham had been as short as 3/1 with some bookmakers to take over as Labour Leader prior to him becoming Prime Minister but he now sits out at 8/1.

There is no specific reason as to why Burnham has drifted in the market, but he's definitely gone ice cold when it comes to betting on him.

The most recent betting market odds give an implied probability of 11.1% of Burnham being the next Labour Leader with the odds putting him as third favourite with the Top 10 Political Betting Sites.
