Damson Idris is now the 2/1 favourite to be the next James Bond with market moving drastically
The betting market for the next James Bond has been blown wide open with Damson Idris now moving into 2/1 favourite from nowhere to play the iconic figure.
UK Betting Sites are still offering odds on who the next Bond will be and 31 year-old Idris leads the way at the top of the market to star as Bond in the next film.
William Hill now say that there's a 33% chance of Damson Idris playing Bond in the next movie with the implied probability suggesting a huge chance it happens.
Former favourites Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Rege-Jean Page follow Idris in the betting market as joint second favourites at 3/1.

What the expert says...
Former favourite Aaron Taylor-Johnson drifts out to 3/1
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been a clear favourite in the next Bond betting market for the past couple of months now but that has all changed this week.
Taylor-Johnson had been installed as favourite following reports in The Sun that he had done a screen test for the role early in front of Barbara Broccoli.
Rege-Jean Page now shares second favourite spot with Taylor-Johnson and the Bridgerton star has also been linked with the famous role in the past.

Happy Valley star James Norton shut down Bond rumours last month
Happy Valley actor James Norton has been a new addition in the betting market to be the next Bond in recent months but he told Variety last month that any rumours are nonsense.
Norton said, "No, no, no, none of that. It’s a really lovely piece of clickbait media in the UK and anyone can write any story about it and it will get the most incredible sort of hype around it."
Seems like a clear way of stopping any hype around Norton being Bond but bookies still have him at 7/2 and fourth in the betting market.
