Jacob Elordi Joins the Frontrunners to Be the Next James Bond

The search for the next 007 continues to dominate entertainment betting markets, and this week has seen a significant shift as Jacob Elordi is now just 4/1 to be named the next James Bond after a flurry of support following his Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

28-year-old Elordi's towering performance as “The Creature” in Frankenstein has elevated him from dark horse to serious contender and betting sites have reacted swiftly.

Having originally made his name in HBO’s hit series Euphoria, where he played troubled teen Nate Jacobs, Elordi has carved out a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most versatile rising stars, combining brooding intensity with screen charisma which is a perfect blend for the Bond role.

William Hill's latest betting market now gives Elordi a 20% chance of playing Bond next with casting announcements expected in the coming weeks.

Elordi’s Credentials: Why He’s a Strong Contender

After early roles in The Kissing Booth franchise, Jacob Elordi quickly pivoted to more mature and dramatic work, earning praise for performances in Saltburn, Priscilla, and now Frankenstein.

His ability to project both vulnerability and menace makes him an ideal fit for the modern Bond blueprint. especially as the franchise leans into more psychologically complex portrayals post-Daniel Craig.

Elordi is Australian and would be the second Aussie Bond after George Lazenby, who appeared in one movie 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'.

What the expert says...
Elordi’s rise in the Bond market has been sharp and well-earned. He’s got youth on his side, global name recognition, and crucially momentum. He may not be favourite yet, but he’s on the radar now in a big way.

Callum Turner Holds Narrow Lead

Despite Elordi’s surge, Callum Turner remains the firm 8/11 favourite.

The Masters of the Air and Fantastic Beasts actor has long been linked to the franchise, and fits the mould of a classic rebooted Bond as he's polished, understated, and British through and through.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains a strong second favourite at 5/2, with several media outlets previously suggesting he had screen-tested for the role.

But recent silence from producers and the emergence of new names may hint at cooling momentum.
